Bio

Hong-Mei is a young and feisty girl who hails from China. At a young age, she grew up hearing the amazing accomplishments achieved by her uncle Yong Bao; a person considered an icon in her home town. From then on, she strived to be the "number 1" at anything she set her mind to. Naturally, this landed her into trouble many times, but none of that stopped her; she excelled in all physical fields more than any other member of the female body, and was thus selected as China's representative to compete in the Great International School Games in Atlanta, something she was thrilled by as her uncle once took part in that event when he was her age.

Though that wasn't the only reason she was excited to go, as in the months leading up to the start of the games, she got wind of the capture of the dangerous fugitive Jonathan "Sailor John" Silver and the subsequent knighthood of the boy responsible for stopping him, Thomas Billinton. Hearing that he too was competing in the games made her all the more thrilled to go, and she developed something of an intense admiration for Thomas, declaring herself his "number 1" fan and going so far as to dress like him, along with having "一号" stitched into her vest and dying a strand of her hair the exact same colour as his. When she finally met him, he was slightly taken aback by her fangirling, but considered it flattering that she admired him so much. In her starstruck state, Hong-Mei believed she could have a chance to become Thomas' girlfriend, only for her dreams to be shattered after discovering he was already spoken for. But like every single previous setback in her life, that didn't stop her; she would casually shoot him a flirtatious look whenever they passed, make sure to deliberately sway her hips when she knew he was looking, and during the ball for the games, she wore a revealing form-fitting dress in order to catch his eye.

Every attempt only made her more desperate, as well as start to grade on Thomas' nerves. That was until Emily stepped in a told her to quit with her obnoxious bahaviour, only for Hong-Mei to blow up at her, saying how much she deserves to be with Thomas more than her and insulting Emily by calling her some obscene names directed at her "fake body". This greatly upset Emily and infuriated Thomas, causing him to finally snap at Hong-Mei; saying he was willing to put up with her persistent fawning over him, but insulting his friends is something he won't tolerate and that he hates her for doing it to is girlfriend in particular. Heartbroken, Hong-Mei ran off in tears, and throughout the rest of the games, performed extremely poorly due to her sour mood and finished dead last in the Gymnastics event. After the games concluded, Thomas gave Hong-Mei one chance to apologise for what she said to Emily, but her sadness turned to anger and she renounced her affection for him, saying that if she can't be his lover, then she'll be his enemy, as there can only be one "number 1" in the world.

Young and headstrong, but determined to the core, Hong-Mei still has much to learn in order to become the best of best and the true "number 1". Though deep down, she does still wish Thomas would love her the same way he loves Emily...
