Bio

Thomas is a kind hearted boy who attends Secondary School at Sodor Community College. He originally lived in Brighton with his parents and little twin sisters Annie and Clarabel, but after a long heated issue with his same age cousin Mike, Thomas ran away to the Island of Sodor to start afresh. While there, he managed to get a job at the 'Avonside X-Press' postal service as a delivery boy, where he soon met his best friend Percy Avonside. His family soon found out about everything that happened and moved to Sodor after him; eventually landing careers running the Ffarquhar Branchline and transferring him to Sodor Community College.

Thomas is known to be quite cheeky and loves playing tricks on the other students, especially the older ones such as Gordon Gresley. He is also described as being very over eager, which often gets him into a few scrapes, but nothing ever keeps him down for long and he soon bounces right back up. If Thomas has one major flaw, it is that he is forgetful and rather impatient. However, he is also optimistic, idealistic, altruistic, and has a heart of gold.

Thomas loves his family with all his heart, especially his sisters Annie and Clarabel; even when everyone in England was against him, they never left his side and whenever any of them are down, they always find a way to cheer each other up. They even made Thomas a golden '1' badge after they moved to Sodor, to show that he's their number 1.

Thomas, like many other boys at SCC quickly developed a crush on Emily Stirling; easily enamoured by her beauty and sweet yet stern personality. But unlike most of the male body, Thomas wasn't interested purely for her looks, and after many talks, get togethers and admittedly awkward dances, the two eventually made it official between them.

His cheeky and mischievous attitude didn't prevent him from being the object of affection from the opposite gender either. After saving the life of Polly "Lady" Stone from Alexander Tensley "Diesel 10" Windsor, she became attracted to him for a brief period of time and the two hung out whenever she visited from Shining Time, enough that the others began to view them as a couple. Another girl that is particularly fond of him is Rosie Vulcan, who is probably just as much a trickster as he is. And while Thomas never returned her feelings, he still considers her a close friend.

Thomas is known to get into some crazy adventures and situations, most of which being his own doing; like when he was briefly kept working in a struggling Steelworks by the managers Frankie Clarke and Harrison "Hurricane" Decapod after taking a school bus back to Bridlington that was meant for James, or when he got lost down the mines of Great Waterton for a whole day when he tried to re-organise the building materials late at night on his own.

The biggest experience of his life was when he met and befriended a dangerous man named Jonathan "Sailor John" Silver, who arrived on Sodor in search of the Lost Treasure of Captain Calles. While Thomas was having to put up with some harsh treatment from his peers at the time, he found himself growing a close bond with both Sailor John and his first mate Simon "Skiff" Eastport as they worked together to find the treasure. But after his friend Marion Fitzpatrick revealed that she'd already discovered the treasure, Thomas informed Sailor John about the plans to donate it to the museum, much to the latter's anger. When Thomas refused to help him anymore, Sailor John took it upon himself to steal it from Sir Topham Hatt; upon taking both Marion and Skiff hostage when the former caught him at the construction site and the latter when he disobeyed him, Sailor John managed to get the treasure from the school's safe and Thomas chased him all throughout the night. After derailing Sailor John's railboat and sending all of them into the sea, Thomas managed to free Skiff and Marion before they drowned and was hailed for his heroics by everyone. But the celebrations didn't last, as Sailor John pulled himself out of the sea and engaged Thomas in a one-on-one sword fight, which ended with Thomas losing due to his exhaustion and injuries. After the arrest of Sailor John and a very long recovery, Thomas found out that his actions in saving Skiff and Marion and trying to stop Sailor John had reached all the way to the Mainland and that the Queen wished to bestow knighthood upon him for his bravery and heroism, and he soon came to be known as 'Sir Thomas of Sodor'.

Thomas' lifelong dream is the chance to see the entire world, and one day he got his wish. When rally driver André "Ace" Enzo came to Sodor to catch a ship to Africa, Thomas seized the opportunity and joined him in his world tour. When he arrived he met a farm girl named Nia Kur who tagged along with him, also wanting to see the world. Though it took some time, Thomas started to warm up to Nia, but after a mishap with Ace on their way to San Francisco, the two were separated. Eventually Thomas and Nia reunited after a terrible avalanche in the Chinese Mountains, with the former breaking down in apologies for letting Ace trick him and almost losing her as his friend. Nia forgave him and the two journeyed together all throughout Asia and Europe on their way to Sodor. Upon arriving back, Thomas learned that Nia was in fact an orphan, who only joined Thomas in hopes of finding a better home. Being the kind soul he is, Thomas offered her a home with him on Sodor, and after some time and discussion, Nia was officially adopted into the Billinton family as his sister.

A friend to all and a popular student of Sodor Community College, Thomas is number 1 and does his best every day to live up to that through helping his friends and those that he cares about. He strives to be Responsible, Reliable and Really Useful and encourages everyone else to do the same.
