I always wondered where the original enterprise had aft phasers...though normally the bird is painted on the bottom of the BoP instead of the top

No disrespect, cuz I LUV your work, but I think a funny caption would be for the Romulans to be saying: "Damn! It shoots phasers out of its ass! We are SO toast!"

This is very good but, the one thing I had problems with one of the Enterprise shows was the had aft phaser and photon tubes on the ship and this version did not have them. Only forward weapons or they would not had to always turn to get the target in the weapon arc. Was not til the refit that the ship had the torps move to the dorsal neck and phaser banks added to both upper and lower primary hull and lower and aft secondary hull. It's very good and great BOP. That was the other thing they did wrong in Enterpise. The Romulans did not have warp-drive til they got a D7 battlecrusiers from the Klingons and gave them old cloak tec. Great Job all the same.

Thank you but allow me to correct you.
Romulans had Warp technology. They inherited it rom their Vulcan ancestors who have "forgotten" it due to the great civil war which later on brought forth Surak's teachings of logic. Without Warp drive, the Rihannsu would have never succeeded in moving through half the Quadrant to find a new home.
The second thing is that the Connies had aft weaponry, both beam weapons and torpedoes. Watch ENT: In a mirror, Darkly Pt. II, the Defiant has them both and she's a pre-refit Connie.

But if you watch the balance of terror for TOS you will find that they did not have warp drive only impulse. They might had had something like Earth which was sleeper ships but not was said for sure and as they got so much wrong in the Enterprise show that is just one more thing.
The Enterprise show did the weapons on the ship like all the new shows. Matt Jefferies did not have aft weapons on the ship til the motion picture refit. Check all the blueprints and othe data. They got it wrong along with many other things in Enterprise and that is why the show is not canon. The Earth Romulans first War was even goning on at the time of that show but they messed that up too. They did alot of bad research and that helped in it's downfall with the old fans like me from TOS. Also the BOP had the bird painted only on the underside of the hull and the Klingon D-7 that they used would be done the same way later on. Don't get me wrong. I wish the ship had all the weapons of the refit which did not have aft torps either. That did not come alone til the Reliant. Just was not in the design or power the ship could put to weapons and shields. I have all the old tech books for Trek up to TNG and they needed to check out some of them when they did that show. The official magazine even has some good tech data which will tell you the same. Someone just goofed that's all.

The Bird-of-Prey is a bit inaccurate (the falcon paint-job should only be on the bottom), but it's still a very cool picture.
