Description
I built the engineering of the Polaris. The design combines the traditional TOS style with the angled rods as well as a good old Warp core. The big piece of machinery on the port side comes from the first season of TOS.Mesh by me

It'd still be too confusing for me to work down here...

Speaking of which, what field did you rise from?

Ah, of course.
I would probably be tactical or COMM...
The fun part about engineering, though, is that you can build stuff from stratch, and impress the ladies...

I'm not the engineer type. My dad (real-world dad) is that one.
It's a First Fleet tradition that the XO is always the tac officer and he ascends to captaincy. It's a military organization, after all, not an exploratory.

Nice to see that First Fleet shops at the same Radio Shack as Starfleet.
[I mean did they really think they were fooling anyone with those brown boards that just scream: "We ran out of set money, so here's the actual boards running the blinky lights."?]

I don't know how to read them either, but still; they look like they came the corner Radio Shack, and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they were running the light board.
