why is everything but the planet out of focus?
out of focus areas in a 'shot' like this don't add to realism.
if a person was to really photograph this scene, the spaceship, planet and background would all be very, very far away from the camera.
at that distance the camera would prodce a picture with everything in tack sharp focus.

Thank you for the information. The reason is that the textures and stuff are of very different resolution. Mixing them resulted such an effect.
