On the Excelsior: Kirk, you do this...and you'll never sit in the Captain's chair again
On the Enterprise: Engage trans-warp drive *Enterprise warps out*
Excelsior: Engage Trans- warp drive *Ship grinds to a halt*
Enterprise: *Scotty hand Kirk some computer parts* curtsy of the Excelsior, i took them out of her main trans-warp computer

Stunning piece of work.

I made it my wallpaper and fired up "Stealing the Enterprise" from ST III on Winamp.

It's funny how the Enterprise looks bigger than the Excelsior

Even though the Excelsior is bigger.

Well yeah because it's a freaking battleship.

A nice picture, though it seems I'm the only person to realise the wrong space dock has been used for the scene.

Since when does your typical Earth Space Dock (as seen in the movies) have an upper and lower door? Unless I'm very much mistaken, this would be the Celestial type Starbase?

not to mention that on the bottom right side of the image it says 'star base 201'

Am I the only person to realise that the damage is on the wrong side of the ship? The Reliant blew the holes into the port side of the secondary hull in Wrath of Khan, but you have them on the starboard.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

davemetlesits In reply to thetruewibbler [2009-04-26 14:24:47 +0000 UTC]

If you watch TSFS closely, you see that there are damages on both sides of the ship. It's a continuity error.

thetruewibbler In reply to davemetlesits [2009-04-27 02:57:47 +0000 UTC]

You're right, I watched it again today... I'm sorry about that. I've seen Wrath of Khan more times than I can count, and when I saw your picture it stood out a mile, and it never occurred to me that it might have actually been wrong in Search for Spock, which I haven't seen nearly as often. My apologies... it's not a bad picture, and I'm not sure why I was so annoyed by what I mistakenly thought was an error. It's kind of sad I guess, but that ship means a lot to me, fictional or not.

Thank you.

Yeah, it's an old problem. The registires are hard-modelled, I can't "re-draw" them into new textures.

Otherwise he will f**k up your brand new engines.

How badly hurt was the Enterprise at the beginning of STIII?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Marksman104 In reply to Wolfman-053 [2010-02-26 03:07:26 +0000 UTC]

Well it took damage mainly on the torpedo bay and the secondary hull. Most of the battle damage was repaired while they were en route to Star Base 001. Then later the ship exploded. So the ship wasn't really that badly damaged. Although 4 crew members lost their lives.

Wolfman-053 In reply to Marksman104 [2010-02-26 15:41:40 +0000 UTC]

Last time I watched STII, which I admit was many, many years ago, I remember the hit to her Number Two (portside) tube, but I don't remember any hits to the secondary hull.

Marksman104 In reply to Wolfman-053 [2010-02-26 20:31:14 +0000 UTC]

Yeah it had phaser damage near the port side of the engineering section. You can thank the Reliant for that.

Actually i don't watch star trek all that much. normally i am writing Age of the Dragons 3 Reborn book or i am working on the second rewrite of The Chronicles of Godzilla Book 2 Legends.
