Description
The last mission of the Enterprise-B before she is succeeded by the more modern Ambassador class. I wanted to mirror the scene from ST:TUC...Enterprise-B by Starship and Medjai
Enterprise-C by Scifi-Art

I absolutely aggree. Yeah, the C did "what you had to do. What you always do. Turning death into a fighting chance to live!"

Is there no way to import the ships into Blender? That app can do shadows...

Yay, the not often seen beauty that is the 1701-C/Ambassador class. Amazing work Dave, and great choice of scene to imitate

wonderful to see that topic with other ships than the Connie and Excelsior but why is the impulse-engine of the Ambassador blue? i always thought impulse-engines are red/orange as it is the case with the impulse-enngines of the Excelsior.

Thank you.
Well, there were cases in which the impulse engines were coloured blue. It's probably due to different quality of fule being used, like different types of coal produce different colours of smoke...

Very nice, hardly even looks 3D, but rather has that classic "airbrushed" sort of look

Thank you very much! I achieved the effect using radial blurs...

I recognized this scene right away. Honestly I like the "B" more than the "C". Nicer, sleeker.

Yeah, I always compare the Excelsior class to a slender woman...

"Slender woman!?" I always thought of Excelsiors as chunky women.... I mean, have you *seen* her ass?
*bloody headshot*
Sorry, Ambassador fanboy talking.....
Excellent work!

Personally I always thought the round, circular curves on the Ambassador were very feminine. Like a mommy! ^^

Haha, wow, I didn't think anyone would reply to this after so long.
I didn't intend my comment to be a commentary on femininity, which has multiple interpretations. Rather, I was just joking that the Excelsior's "aft view" reminded me of a really fat butt.
I actually really like Excelsior class starships, but from more attractive angles.

Oh, I wasn't offended or anything, I was just adding my own thoughts on the subject of ships being compared to feminine features.
As for replying so much later, well, I only got really active on DA in the past year, and I do searches and sometimes comment on interesting pictures I find that way. I tend to not even think about how old they might be ^^'

Interesting analogy. For me that was always the Constitution refit. Also sleek looking, and just overall beautiful.

Its a shame the Ambassador class was used more. Would've loved to have seen more footage of it.

This is beautiful. Though my personal favorites are TOS/TMP ships, I think the Ent-B and Ent-C are rarely subjects of 3d art. This is a rare treat.
