Description The last mission of the Enterprise-B before she is succeeded by the more modern Ambassador class. I wanted to mirror the scene from ST:TUC...

This is a beautiful shot. I love Excelsior-class, but Ambassador-class is one of my faves. And knowing the fate that awaits Enterprise-C.....

Very nice and poignant. And the title made me hear "For the times, they are a changin" in my head.

I love how you made this pays homage to how Enterprise-A and Excelsior flew together for awhile at the end of Enterprise-A's final mission.

No Enterprise-B was never lost in battle the only "battle" it was ever seen in was when the Nexus appeared and James T Kirk went missing in truth it's never really stated what happened to Enterprise-B after that i assume the same fate as Enterprise-A she was decommisioned at the end of her service being when the Ambassador class took over the Excelsior class.

I just brushed up on info of Enterprise-B it wasn't lost in a battle but the ship was lost presumed destroyed when the crew reported a unknown infection going around the ship. So it could still very well be drifting through space crewless.

actually there's a book canon or not that states that the saucer was blown up after having parts salvaged from it

BlackHeart-Kiryu In reply to redfredrick [2013-08-05 21:16:17 +0000 UTC]

I meant salvageable that it can be turned into a new Galaxy class it's stardrive section was completely destroyed and it's saucer was damaged to the point they can only salvage various parts.

It's a alright game for trekkies but in that Enterprise-E and Enterprise-F are both in service at the same time for the 1st time in Starfleet history 2 ships that abre the same name have been in service at the same time.

Maybe in physical detailing, but that one looks more accurate. I goofed in a few areas because my schematics weren't so great.

"By God that's a big ship"
"Not so big as her captain, I think."
"I think its about time we got underway ourselves."
'Captain, we've been given orders to stop quoting the crew of the last star ship Enterprise and return to space dock immediately to be decommissioned."
"If I were a Vulcan, proposing that I were human, I believe my response would be: 'Go to hell.'...If I were a Vulcan proposing I was a human."
"Course heading, Captain?"
"Second star to the right, and straight on 'til morning."

ALRIGHT, An Ambassador Class, this is my FAVORITE CANON TREK SHIP.

Don't know why exactly, but I think this ship could have played such a bigger roll in T.N.G. if they would have used it more.

The final model with the slight redesign and over under shuttlebays was a very beautiful model, even if a bit clunky looking compared to the graceful Galaxy's.

davemetlesits In reply to vulpixgrant [2009-11-18 01:18:44 +0000 UTC]

I always thought that Ambassarods are more graceful than Galaxys.

vulpixgrant In reply to davemetlesits [2009-11-18 02:35:29 +0000 UTC]

The Enterprise C Version I though was just not right. When the redesigned it, adding the wider aft bay and the much better looking Pylon "Wings" I call them, it really made the model look much better. Though I hated to redesigned Deflector Dish.

But I think of all the Star Trek Ships, the Galaxy is the most Graceful looking, Followed by the Non Canon Sentinel Mesh, the the Updated Ambassador Class.

Either way, she is still pretty much my fav out their. ( And still Huge compared to the long but thin Sovereign class! )

Thanks again.

Very fine etheral moment here too! Of all the 'Enterprise' ships, I think 'C' has so far had the most honorable end: her and her crew sacrificing themselves in the defense of Narendra III that fully resulted in the Federation and the Klingon Empire seeing where their common ground was and them becoming allies of peace afterwards. It's because of the Enterprise-C's self-sacrifice that Worf was able to join Starfleet and all the Klingon-Federation related events pertaining to keeping peace have been able to happen.
