Too cool. The Enterprise had better get into orbit before more Air Force planes are sent. I don't think they'll be too friendly about a "UFO" in the atmosphere.

cool picture, Dave.
How about the F-22 Raptor for a badass plane it about to send the F-14 to the retirement home for old jets.

Geez, the airframe of the F104 or the B2 are not/were not unstable. The tractor beam doesn't destroy either. It holds an item motionless. You place the F104 at full thrust or a B2 at full thrust, whose airframe is unstable without the computers controlling it against a tractor beam holding them motionless, my bet is the planes will get either shaken or vibrated apart.

I get the distinct feeling that airman christopher and party are about to taste a transporter beam as their airframe folds.

Yeah, sometimes tractor beams are dangerous

would the Enterprise's tractor beam destroy that?

I don't think the tractor beam destroys -- and I have to wonder if the Enterprise could even lock on as the B2 is nearly invisible to most forms of radar...

in the original series, the Enterprise locked on to an f-104 starfighter. it ended up breaking apart the jet.

The F-104 didn't have the advanced framework of the B2 bomber ...

i know that. but you also said the tractor beam doesn't destroy things. i know it's not meant to, but it did. this picture reminded me of that scene.

the closest thing i've seen to the 14 is an f-15 at the airshow. she had after burners blasting, so awesomely loud. though i would LOVE to see a 14 do that.
