I like this a lot, specially the water reflections... do you plan to oil paint this one?

I might well paint this one - I plan to complete a few more digital images before I start another batch of paintings, and choose the best ones, so who knows, maybe.

I don't know anything about oil paintings, so tell me: will the reflection effect be hard to do in paint?

Possibly, but having a picture to work from always helps.

So, I really love your work... but I'm confused about the category. Some same traditional, some say digital, but they all look the same, and honestly, I've never seen digital work that looks hand-done. So I guess my question is, why is exactly is this digital? Is it all digital or what? Sorry, not to ask you to give away your secrets, just something I've wonderred for a while. Thanks!

Thanks. By way of explanation, almost all of my work starts out with a pencil drawing. I never create work 100% digitally. Pieces like this one, for example, have been hand-drawn and shaded in pencil, then coloured in with Photoshop. I tend to use thin layers of colour, with different layer types, so that the original drawing still shows through. I suppose ultimately they're as much traditional creations as they are digital, but I feel like I'd be lying if I tried to pass them off as pure traditional work. The work under traditional is pretty much all oil paintings on canvas, photographed or scanned, without any digital re-touching. Hope that explains things?

Yes, very. Like I said before, I have just never seen anything under the "digital" section that looks like it could be an oil painting... usually it is BLATANTLY digital. So nice job on that. I assumed it had to be by the method you said, but still, well done on camouflaging the fact. Your work is excellent.

Thanks, I try to make all of my work appear hand-crafted. If it weren't so time-consuming I'd probably do all my work in oil paints, but photoshop allows me to produce finished images much quicker.
