Gorgeous! Are you using some sort of leaf brush? Or are you tapping in individual leaves? I'm having trouble accomplishing something similar.

A little bit of both! Try creating a captured dab and customise an airbrush to cover a base layer quickly.
First, draw about 20 leaves or so onto the canvas layer with any brush you like, try using grey to black tones. Select the area, then create the captured dab by saving it as a variant of the original airbrush. If it worked you should now have those 20 leaves every time you dab the brush.
Second, use rotate and squeeze in the brush settings to give more variation to the dab (scale, opacity, etc also work). Build layers and remove any leaves that cause the image to look like it's repeating the same dab over and over.
Finally give the whole image a couple of layers of freehand leaves to pick out details...
hope this helps

It's so so sooooo incredible.
I don't know how on earth you make something as beautiful as this. I could literally stare at this for ages, wondering where that road leads.
