Modeled in Wing3d by adapting this approach Wings 3D project - twisted mobius cube interlocking shape thing* - by David BrinnenBut instead of a cube consisting of 8 cubes and linked with 12 twists I used 27 cubes and 36(I think) twists.
Rendered in Octane.

Thank you. Β The battle with the noise took about 30 hours to win. Β The curious patches that appeared in the materials seems to be the result of the geometries being so close together, it wasn't expected but I liked the result so I let it continue rendering.
