Kaleidoscopes have always been fascinating to me!

Aye, I remember having one as a child, a tin one, filled with beads that would make a sound like rain on a tin roof when you rotated the far end.

Yes, it showed me at an early age what a pair of mirrors could do. The fact that we can now create virtual mirrors in the art programs we use is fantastic! I even did a Bryce tutorial for a site I am a member of explaining the process of making a mirror that actually reflects stuff in a scene. With what I have learned from you since then, I can perhaps do an updated version that includes how to improve the renders by means of increasing the maximum ray depth, and adjusting other render settings. And your recent tutorials concerning the use of HDRIs could help also.

Perhaps like me you were fascinated also by the implications of having two mirrors facing one another? Β To me that still seems like magic.

Yes, indeed I was! The effects that could be achieved by such configurations did seem like magic.
