Description 8 minute Wings3D project - two part box - a tutorial by David Brinnen

A bit tricky for me to estimate how difficult this tutorial is. I don't use Wings3D a lot (in comparison with Bryce for example - which I use in my sleep), but I am a bit familiar with it. I think for anyone who has used Wings3D already, they will be OK with this tutorial, but if not, probably better seek out some beginners tutorials first. Wings3D can be obtained free at www.Wings3D.com it is a nice little subdivision modeller and, to my way of thinking, has an tidy, fast and intuitive interface.

The idea is to make a little two part box. Some additional text is included in the video, you may have to pause the video to read it.

Better viewed in HD - some of the controls in Bryce are quite fiddly and small.

I do like the interface on wings, it seems very compact. The program is generally quite responsive and smooth - until the models get big. Then things can get a little clunky. It is nice to use. I recommend giving it a fair chance.

just opened it and even with c4d rendering it still works ok, will give it a proper burl later.. most of the features seem similar to other 3d modelling progs.. nice that it is purely dedicated to modelling

Oh, that one looks very nice! I'll have to try it out this kind of abstract when I finally get out of my works to be done.

I have to finish ASP.Net MVC + JS project for my uni course that I neglected a while ago because of lack of time, but now I have even less time making advertisement (leaflets, banners, updated website) for new product campaign for the company I've been working with for a year now or something and working on corporate identity for another company. Well... that'll gonna take me a month or something to dig out of these things I think.

Sounds complicated. Mundane though my day job is, at least it leave me free to tinker around in Bryce - so I guess that makes me kind of lazy.
