Description
The first painting of 2020! This one was inspired by the paintings of B.C. Koekkoek, a famous Dutch landscape painter of the 19th century. I gathered multiple reference images of his paintings and made up my own landscape based on these images. After that I added the deer to add a bit more life to the painting.Acrylics on MDF board, 70 x 50 cm

I had never heard of this artist before. Barend Cornelis Koekkoek was born under the sign of scales. Judging by your drawing, he admired interesting and kind things. Many deers on painting it is much more harder for painting but work seems more interesting and full of life. I do support such portraits and do not support paintings which shows scenes of huntings , one of the great artists (master of landscape realism , exactly one of the best in the middle - the end of XIX th century) once said that art should represent the beauty of life , for sad this artist once painted work of hunter in forest so I won't name him (although his work did not show the process of hunting, but I do not promote such works , although they can be very realistic and interesting (for example show beautiful terrain)). But those words , which he said , they are right , cause often people use to look long time on paintings (specially those large , although in art not everything depends on the size of the painting) , they must not only note the realism and beauty of the work , but also what the artist admired -> the life and beauty of real animals and living Nature.. that is a message for people that need to care about real Animals and do not destroy Nature and forests (house for the multitude different species of alive creations) , do not contaminate water and air , they are for all alive creations , not only for civilization of humans.
