I love the fact that Richie has his tennis racket, Chas a cell phone and track suit, and Margot has her wooden finger! The bird is Mordechi and the flag is from the house on Archer Ave. Marvelous picture, even better if you know the movie!

Are they poor kids with broken dreams, and tired souls?? So soon??? Are they adults in a nostalgic form of kid?? This is what i see, does it has something to do with the concept??? Or is just my reflection?

If this is a ref to something, I obviously don't know it, and as much as I am AMAZED by this picture, I have a couple questions -
Why do the kids have their eyes closed?
What's the T-R/R-T logo from/for?
And what sort of hawk is that? Red-tail? Or is it an Eagle?

The characters pictured are from the Royal Tenenbaums.
As the artist comments said it's part of a tribute to Wes Anderson, the director.
The hawk has some significance to the story.

I'd recommend the film to anybody who's interested in film making and/or a fan of long awkward silences.
I'm not any kind of specialist on birds but a few google image searches for comparison makes it look like it could possibly be a saker falcon. But I wouldn't say that's quite enough to verify anything.
