Description Watercolour. 40cm x 30cm. Ref: A weekend stroll with my camera.

Continuing the salt experiments for trees. I think the salt effects are out of character with the rest of the painting, as it's not sitting all that well with me.

Happy with the loose style for the rest, except the dreadful mis-proportion of the bottom right red car - looks all squashed up; damn my lazy non-gridding!

Thank for sharing step by step, your art is very inspiring! I have to find bigger grains of salt Great painting, very professional. I was staring at your beautiful shades of green color.

Your welcome! I recommend sea salt crystals, very handy for using whole or crumbling down for variation

Hi, thanks. Must have been in my 'blobby slime-tree' phase with this one

Love the way you did the foliage.

Glad you like it. Not that keen myself - think I went overboard on the salt; should have been a bit more structured maybe...?

Chillax, it looks good to me as an outsider. It adds the necessary pinch of the "chaotic" effect to the more or less strict geometrical lines of the rest of the work.

Hmm I see, thanks for your take on it Badusev! I like chaotic, need to bring more into my work!

The tree has come out well, i suggest you can eliminate few objects to make the composition less crowded. Nevertheless it looks great overall

Hey thanks for the useful feedback! You're probably right - I need to use more artistic lisence when working from photos. I atomatically try to go for technical accuracy by default; old habits...

No problem, i used to do the same but then they divert the focus from main subject.
