How difficult do you think it would be to change this into a Mass Effect style armor?

If the franchise keeps going like this, we'll be into the future in no time...

those are laser swords. powered like light saber but can't be a beam on its own without support(the blade)

I don't know why, but it reminds me of Advent Rising (that is a compliment, btw)

Is Maya very hard to learn? I usually run with Wings 3d, though I've poked a Blender a few times and I'm getting a little better with it.

Maya is easy to use, but to use it extensively...well...lets just say the manual is several books that fill up a bookshelf. And it doesn't even cover everything.

That's... a lot.
Something tells me learning Maya would be a long term project. Assuming my hardware could even handle it.

More or less depends on how much you want to use of it. I've been doing modelling and animating stuff with only a few of the tools

Oh? I'm guessing that means Maya can do a hell of a lot.

You bet. They did Gollum from Lord of the Rings in Maya

Ah I didn't know that. I'd heard they used it to make James Cameron's Avatar, but not Gollum.

They say it's the most powerful 3D Modelling and animating program out there, so I'm not surprised they used it on Avatar

Maybe with about ten years of practice. XD
But thanks for the vote of confidence.

You flatter me, though it might take me 10 years to get a computer that could run Maya.

Ooooh, good point. Even if you get a computer up to Maya standards, it will still crash quite a bit...

Aye, my laptop doesn't even handle Blender well, so Maya is out I'm sure.

Probably. You really need a good graphics card for Maya

Aye, my current laptop is really old and wasn't built with anything graphics related in mind.

Very fun idea. It seems to fit very well even. The texture work is very nice, it feels worn which a proper assassin' garb should be. I question the use of glowies when you're trying to be sneaky, but who cares. It's the future, everything glows. Though I don't like how the shoes are such brilliant white when the pants are off white. Its a bit jarring and my eye keeps going back there. The hood, belt and gloves don't feel quite as white. I think it may be because the cut between the pants and shoes is really aggressive, where as the gloves and belt are a bit more organic in shape.
