Although I prefere the face of the second pic (seems more "real" and believable) the rendering of the completed piece is fantastic! Very dramatic and fierce!

it had that disney look on it on the second pic that is why I focus more on lighting and shadow with different brushes to create a different style.
making it fierce seem to fit it better
