Inuyasha and Kagome in Illustrator. Just for the heck of it. Experiment with the good old mesh tool

What's it like to work with Illustrator?

It's very different. It's vector based instead of pixel, which means that instead of painting with tiny little dots, you are working with complex shapes that can be enlarged or shrunk without harming them at all. For this, each section was a different shape (ex. Inuyasha's face, each of this eyes, his robe, and 3 parts to his hair.) Then inside each shape you create a grid with as many lines as you like, then drag colors onto specific points and make them fade out that way. It's different, but I've found it very convenient for certain things. For most pics, I'm sticking with Photoshop, but for simple things, and especially for the logos that I've done, Illustrator is much easier.
