Arashi is actually a Low Ranking Male, with his horns pointing downward. That's actually one of the major points of Rikka's story, that her mate Damien was a low raking male, and therefore everyone thought he was unworthy of her presence and love, but she got pissed at her priestesses and abolished the ranking system so that he could come near her.
Also, I'm not so sold on his facial expression. Ara is by no means a serious person, or an angry one at that. He's quite light hearted happy, and the only time he would have a facial expression like that is if he was preparing to tear someone to pieces.
