Description
I blame the fact that I was wandering dA during a break rom painting when I saw a couple of these done by a few artists and had the overwhelming urge to fill one out.Original blank meme create by
From left to right:
1. Illuminated Texts - Old illuminated scrolls and books were some of my first introductions to art and occasionally find their way into my pieces in some shape or form.
2. Cup of coffee- Usually when I have a total block, a cup of coffee with friends or just by myself helps the juices to start flowing again.
3. Josephine Wall - When in junior high I loved looking at her art and tried to find all of the small details that would make up one of her paintings.
4. Religious figures - In the beginning, I was heavily influenced by Catholic and Eastern Orthodox art. As I have gotten older, I've branched out to include other religions in my sources of inspiration.
5. Art Nouveau - I've always been fascinated by the illustrative nature of the style and have a tendency of incorporating it into my work.
6. Celtic Art - I think this goes hand-in-hand with the fact I love the intricacy of the knot work and the fact I attend Renaissance festivals on a regular basis. Was one of my first loves.
7. Classic cars and motorcycles - Like the Celtic art, has been an ongoing love affair which has only within the past 2 years been a source of inspiration for my paintings.
8. Stephanie Pui-Mun Law - has been a wonderful source of guidance and inspiration for me, especially when I first started out with watercolors. Thanks Stephanie!
9. Tattoos - I love these pieces of art on living canvas. Can always look at one and get ideas.
10. Jonathon Earl Bowser - One of my sources of inspiration in the fantasy genre
11. Der Jen - A wonderfully talented artist out of China and probably one of my main influences of making my work heavily detailed
12. Asian Culture - Think this one is self explanatory, especially if you see what a good section of my subject matters are.
13. Kagaya - An artist out of Japan, I constantly find myself going to his website and looking at his pieces whenever I need a spark of creativity for a new piece.

LOL Thanks. And with those who know me, I'm usually armed with some form of caffeine.
