Description
Decided to do this for fun since I've seen quite a bit of the Pokemon girls dressing up as Disney Princesses and the like of it. I've been meaning to do this for quite some time yet just now I've finally gotten to it barely. So here's what Disney Princess/Heroine I think would be a good match for the Pokemon female companions of Ash Ketchum. Some of them may make sense at first glance but others may not so I'll give a quick description of why I feel this Pokemon girl fits with a certain Disney heroine.

Misty - Ariel (The Little Mermaid)
Reasons - Because like Ariel, Misty is a fiery redhead who is both the youngest AND sort of black sheep to the family (in Ariel's case having an interest in the mortal world unlike her sisters and in Misty's case, being the more responsible of her sisters), they are both adventurous (albeit Ariel just a bit more so) they both are represented by an element of water, and also Misty had that one episode where she dressed as a Mermaid so yeah... May not be that original but let's be honest, it's still perfect
May - Rapunzel (Tangled)
Reasons - Rapunzel initially sort of started out as naive and sort of unsure about herself because of Gothel. It reminded me a bit of May and how she started a bit as insecure about herself when it came to Pokemon. In addition, they are both sweet, and adorkable protagonists and actually grow into stronger characters who know have a set goal in life. In addition they can get easily excited about something that they like. And, kind of a bias, but...Rapunzel/Flynn sort of reminded me of Contestshipping in a way...don't judge me...
Dawn - Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
Reasons - This is sort of a meta example...first off, Dawn is synonymous with Aurora in name meanings which I thought was pretty cool. Second, they are both pretty sweet but confident in themselves even though Aurora doesn't show that side often. They can also be a bit mischievous too when they want to be . And third is that they both are so unfortunately underrated for reasons that aren't fair, honestly! Like come on people, give some love to these two girls (Dawn and Aurora).
Iris - Pocahontas (Pocahontas)
Reasons - Once again this isn't really original, I won't lie but I can see why Iris is chosen to be Pocahontas (granted, Pocahontas is a princess with mixed reception, but still...). First off, Iris is adventurous like Pocahontas is and the two are not afraid at all to get their hands dirty to help others. They can also be pretty mischievous around their friends and snarky around other people such as Iris calling Ash a kid and Pocahontas snarking at Kocoum's smile even though he doesn't smile that much.
Serena - Jasmine (Aladdin)
Reasons - Not going to lie. Serena was the hardest to recast but I think I'm finally satisfied with this. First off, Serena like Jasmine are not afraid to speak to mind and aren't afraid to go against their parents' wishes to do what they believe is right. Also, not going to lie but Serena, before her haircut, had her hair remind me of Jasmine a bit so that was a small plus...not going to lie, even though I do like they gave her character development after she cut her hair...I like her long hair just a tad more.... Hopefully she grows it.
Lillie - Jane Porter (Tarzan)
Reasons - It was either Jane or Belle...and while the latter is my favorite Disney princess I decided to give miss Jane Porter some love too Anyway, Lillie is similar to Jane in that even though they may not be the strongest at first in dealing with new things such as new places or Pokemon, they have some knowledge to back them up and make them useful. They both grow to be braver as the story continues. They can also get flustered and blush easily when around their 'crush' (Lillie with Moon/Sun/Ash and Jane with Tarzan)
Lana - Kida (Atlantis : The Lost Empire)
Reasons - Both are also into the element of water and can be pretty adventurous...also that scene where Mallow was swimming with Misty reminded me of Kida and Milo swimming so yeah....not much to say here for now.
Mallow - Esmerelda (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)
Reasons - They are both friendly people and are willing to give others a chance no matter what like Esmerelda standing up to Quasimodo when he was being taunted by the people at that festival and Mallow defending Lillie when the latter had been accused of having everyone go hungry.

So there you go~ That's about it.
