Description
I'm sorry I-I just had to!
Especially after finding out the parallel's between Anna and Elsa's relationship to Oswald's and Mickey's. Also Elsa and Anna's father is a symbolization to Walt Disney in his younger years, which is so freaking awesome!!!
So I decided to do this little crossover, with Mickey visiting Oswald, during his first few years of life.Β
Oswald grows accustomed to his little brother. But as time passes by Oswald begins to avoid him, and with Charles Mintz brainwashing his innocent little mind, saying that Mickey is his replacement and Walt no longer cares for him, Oswald grows to hate Mickey and decides to no longer have anything to do with him.
Before any smart mouth says anything, I am well aware that Mickey didn't know Oswald Β until Epic Mickey. So please don't explain to me how they met. Just go with it!

I really feel sorry that Oswald was one of the extremely few disney charathers that Walt lost to another studio (a.k.a universal studios).
It makes me feel sad that Walt lost him when he made a big mistake by wanting more money to make better Oswald cartoons but universal refused and took the charather away from him forcing Walt to create a new charather (Mickey).
I honestly hate Universal studios!
Charles then abandoned him in 1944 to create Woody woodpecker
soon afterwards Oswald quickly became forgotten while Mickey became hugely famous over the years. That was the last of Oswald until 2010!

Uh, this isn't a critique. This is just a summary about what happened to Oswald and has nothing to do with the artwork.

It isn't a critique. It a nice comment and all, but it should just be put as a regular comment. Critiques are where you talk about the artwork and help the artist to improve.

Um, but none of what you wrote is actually a critique. To be honest, if you can't even meet the word limit with a critique, then that's a sign that you probably aren't really thinking about the artwork in depth enough. If you wanna post a shorter critique, then you can just say that in the regular comments section.Β

Yeah, Frozen may have come and gone in theaters, but the movie still left an impact all those who watched it, even ones who didn't care for it.... or the ones who are just sick of seeing snow and the color white this winter season....
The connection with Elsa and Anna is very understandable. Two very close siblings finding themselves more and more apart than they should, the oldest knowing the reason while the youngest is left in the dark cold about it. Which also naturally what people think of Walt Disney's own creations, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and Mickey Mouse. Even with Oswald being bought back by Disney, the idea of the isolation the rabbit has with his "family" is still felt today. This picture fits it perfectly: Mickey has nothing but fun and freedom, while Oswald is left in the dark due to red tape. Oswald is naturally resentful about this, being the oldest, while Mickey just wants to have fun with him like the rest of his friends and family.
While Mickey and Oswald's divergent may not be exactly the same as Anna and Elsa, it is still a depression to see siblings NOT being together for one reason or another... which makes the time they due have all the more enjoyable, as shown in Epic Mickey, Frozen, and here, combining the two.

So far it seems this song is everywhere. Whether it be fan made versions of the song or comics based off the song such as this. All though so far no one has done it with Mickey or Oswald. Overall, it's a clever concept and I didn't actually see the ending coming. I never actually think of Mickey actually knowing who Oswald even is until the Epic Mickey timeline, but maybe this is before Disney tried to buy Oswald back and by now he's just grumpy and mad at everyone. I know I'd be. Overall very clever, very fun, and a nice use of a great Disney song. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c⦠" width="20" height="20" alt="

1st one.
Mickey: *runs* No! *starts freezing into ice*Β
*the sword breaks*
Evil mouse girl: *fells* Oof!
*breath comes out of Mickey*
Oswald: *breaths and looks at Mickey frozen* Mickey! Mickey? No, no please no.
Oswald singing: Yes, I want to build a snowman.
Oswald singing: I'm sorry that I took so long.
Oswald singing: I didn't know I needed you, I really do.
Oswald singing: And now you're gone.
Oswald singing: Please, just ask me once more.
Oswald singing: Just one more time.
Oswald singing: I promise I'll open the door. *starts tearing up*
Oswald singing: Yes, I want to build a snowman. *hugs him*
Oswald: *crying* Mickey! *still crying*
2nd one.
Oswald: Mickey! *runs and looks at him frozen*
Oswald: No. Mickey? No, please no.
Oswald singing: Please, are you still in there?
Oswald singing: Mickey, no. What have I done.
Oswald singing: I'm sorry I deserted you. I wasn't trying to.
Oswald singing: The storm inside me won.
Oswald: *tears up and sobs a little*
Oswald singing: We only had each other.
Oswald singing: It was me and you.
Oswald singing: Now what am I gonna do?
Oswald singing: *hugs frozen Mickey* Do you wanna build a snowman?
Oswald: *sighs*
Oswald: *cries with his tears of sadness*

Heavily dated satire, but still well done. Although how Mickey and Oswald meet will depend very much on the story (which Disney no longer seems interested in doing). Epic Mickey is just one story about such a thing. I have ideas for my own. I'd honestly like to see others. Yours is good, though whether or not you intended the satire does have some bearing.
The art style is really good though. I've heard some artists say Mickey (and Oswald by extension) are easy, others say they're hard, but you nailed it right here (for the record; I find Oswald easier to draw than Mickey).

I never thought of the similarities until you pointed it out! I prefer this over the Epic Mickey Timeline. I had a theory that Mickey knew Oswald but didn't remember him much because he was too young to remember.

Omg this so sad I know the time when Oswald was traded back to Disney world but still feels like Disney isn't promoting Oswald much it's 2014 and hasn't even seen a cartoon short Mickey and Oswald or even remake the house of mouses

I've heard they don't want to integrate him too fast, since they're dealing with something so iconic. Sissies. Β But he's a meet and greet character in Japan now, so things are happening.Β Give it some timeβ¦ and if they still don't do anything get PISSED!Β Β
