This may sound weird to... well, everybody, but Octopi are actually the world's most dedicated mothers. They lay over 1000 tiny eggs but without protection they would all be eaten before they hatch. So the mother stays with the eggs until they hatch, never leaving their side EVER, not even to eat. So the mother literally guards her babies until (and im really not kidding here) she starves to death!
If thats not true compassion, I dont know what is

i also like to say another thing when octopus have sex they die but the female octopus has only a couple months before she dies so she can lay the eggs and die after the octopus baby's dies

It's a squid because...I guess the other sorts of animals were already taken, and an entity plant would be silly.
