Description
A combination of Fusion Gridman, Megas XLR and Mega Soldier. Having been freed from Lord Fuse's clutches, Megas XLR was reformatted into a more powerful form thanks to a resonance with Fusion Gridman's Grid Energy. In addition, Fusion Gridman was able to bring Kiva back into the realm of existence, now a singularity point and a Hyper Agent, as well as having her own mech reformatted into her own form so that they could combine together into a more powerful mecha.

Not only did it retain Megas XLR's bombastic arsenals, Megas Fusion Gridman is also based on Evil Coop's Megas, a reminder of how Megas' journey started from humanity using the power of their enemies for good, humanity's survival and what could have been had Coop strayed from his path. The mecha's finisher is Mega Fusion Full Burst.

It has been weeks since Douglas, Jimmy and Number 86 helped Fusion Gridman regain his memories as Number 19th Century. As he was understandably still shaken from the fact that he had been reborn into an entirely another being, especially the one that humanity had been fighting against, Fusion Gridman decided to think over the heroes' invitation to join the EDF.

However, they assured him that they would be waiting for him until he could make his decision and lent him with a NanoCom and an EDF badge so that other people would know that he was not a threat.

The heroes of EDF soon received a request from Harold Cooplowski and Jaime, who wanted them to recover half of Megas XLR's hard drive that was still stuck inside the containment field. Much to their surprise, Coop had actually sent Steven Universe, a heroic human-crystal gem hybrid into the containment field on his own, and it was already 2 hours since then.

Douglas, Jimmy, and Ben Tennyson entered the containment field to search for Steven while Dexter, Mordecai, and Rigby stayed outside as Dexter tinkered with the hard drive's others half that was already on Coop's possession.

As the heroes managed to track down Steven, it turned out that not only he was overwhelmed by the Fusion waves (or as Steven referred to them as World-Eaters), Fusion Gridman was also present beside him and had been helping him to recover the hard drive half. Due to the increase of Fusion activity in the containment field, the heroes decided to retreat.

Steven said that the Fusion activity inside the containment field was unusually high, unlike the others that he saw while he was on his way to Goat's Junkyard. It had been giving him a hard time to recover the hard drive on Megas. Had it not been for Fusion Gridman, he would not have lasted long on his own.

As for Fusion Gridman, he was still thinking over the offer to join the EDF. During this time he had been wandering the lands to help out others with his newfound powers and though he faced difficulties, especially with his appearance, his NanoCom and EDF badge were proven useful as he let his actions speak for himself.

Until finally, he stumbled upon a containment field with a giant robot standing atop the surface from afar. He felt something was drawing him towards the robot and decided to go inside the field. That was the moment where he stumbled upon Steven Universe who initally mistook him for the World-Eaters.

However, another problem arose in Goat's Junkyard. Dexter had been attempting to decrypt the hard drive half that Coop had in his possession alongside Ben and Otto, whom the latter came from Time Patrol. Once they succeeded, Dexter discovered something that infuriated him:

Megas was made using Glorft technology, meaning that he was not of terrestrial origin, and that the hard drive possessed an extensive dossier of Planet Fusion.

Of course, Coop lacked the ability to decrypt the hard drive himself. It was Kiva Andru's specialty, who disappeared due to temporal paradox. And instead of actively seeking help from the EDF when the invasion began, he just sat around and waited for the apocalypse to begin, even endangering a human-gem hybrid that could have helped in their war effort. All that power and strength from Megas XLR were wasted on a man with too much of a sloth.

Amidst the argument, Mordecai and Rigby had been sneaking out towards the containment field not only to retrieve the hard drive, but also to get their chance on seeing Coop's Plymouth Barracuda car up close. Fusion Gridman was also not far behind from them as he wanted to have a "talk" With Megas himself.

The three successfully climbed onto Megas and reached the Barracuda car head. Fusion Gridman took the front seat as the two park workers took on the passenger seats. The former began a "conversation" with Megas which initially surprised the duo, but they took it well knowing that Fusion Gridman respects the robot as much as Coop did.

"So you've been stuck for a long while, huh? Are you mad at him? Oh I get it, now... You're just upset. I guess Cooplowski somehow just have a knack for it, eh? But don't worry, we'll get you out of here and we'll give him a piece of your mind. I'll make sure of it. So what do you say? I'll take you in for another spin!"

Fusion Gridman generated an immense Grid Energy that resonated with Megas XLR. The Terrafuser that latched itself onto the robot was completely eradicated and the green Fusion veins dissipated away, breaking Fuse's hold towards him.

Megas XLR was separated into 2 components: Mega Roadstar and Mega Carrier. As Mordecai and Rigby took over the Mega Carrier to fend off the Fusion horde, Fusion Gridman drove the Mega Roadstar to Coop's location.

The Fusion Hyper Agent exited the vehicle and straight out punched Coop in the face. Everyone was taken aback. Steven and Jaime attempted to step in, but Douglas stopped him and assured him that Fusion Gridman knew what he was doing.

"OWWW what the hell, man!?"

"Does it hurt?"

"Wh-wha...?"

"I'm ASKING you a QUESTION. Does it hurt?"

"Y-yeah... It hurts like hell."

"THAT is what Megas felt whenever you screwed up. ALL the time." Fusion Gridman clarified. "Dexter was right. All that power on Megas is wasted on you. Had you still been piloting Megas back then, he wouldn't be trapped by Lord Fuse in the first place. Instead, all you did was slacking off and leaving Megas to rot out here."

"Wait, how did you know I wasn't with Megas, back then?" Coop asked.

"I saw Megas' history log when I got there. You haven't been piloting him for months. 3 months, to be exact."

"Hey, I don't always sit my butt on Megas' cockpit, alright? I've got other priorities myself, in case you haven't noticed!"

"Then WHY weren't you there when Planet Fusion invaded Earth for the first time?"

She was so happy back then. I couldn't forget her smile when she decided that she wanted to be with us much longer. And then... That happened. She was happy and then... She was scared..."

Coop was down to his knees and slammed the ground beneath him. "I MISSED HER GODDAMMIT! Without Kiva, I don't have the drive to ride on Megas anymore! Me, Jaime, and Kiva... It's always the three of us who's riding on Megas! If just one... Just ONE of them is missing... It just doesn't feel the same. When she blipped out I could only just..."

Fusion Gridman finally understood what he meant. For the very first time, Coop felt like he was helpless, unable to help out Kiva like how he had used to back in the day. He also knew that Jaime had been doing nothing but helping his friend cope up with the loss. The thought of losing Kiva had affected both of them, no matter how hard they tried to cover it by slacking off like how they used to before Megas came to be.

"With how it all comes to this, I don't think she would've wanted you to quit, now. For too long you've been lazing around ever since that day. But now's the time to make things right."

"Do you... Do you really think I could do that?"

"I've done my fair share of mistakes in my previous life. Now that I'm myself again even though that I've changed, I'll do anything to live my life properly. With my power as a Fusion... After getting Coop and Jaime on board, Fusion Gridman sensed a dimensional rift that was about to crack itself open. It was small and feint, but it was right there. Douglas and Jimmy also sensed it and transformed into their Hyper Agent Forms to pave a way for Fusion Gridman's company so that they could make their way towards the Mega Carrier.

The Megas Assist Weapons combined into the reformatted Megas XLR. Fusion Gridman had Coop and Jaime ran through with its new controls and functions, though it was identical to their usual ones from the old Megas. The former jumped out of the cockpit and turned giant so that they could fight against the Fusion Kaijus.

As the Kaiju faced its destruction, the dimensional rift was completely open in front of them. Fusion Gridman was right: there is something, or someone inside the rift waiting to be pulled out.

More Fusion Kaijus appeared and the disabled Terrafuser brought itself to life and took the likeness of a monstrous Megas. The Fusions continued to overwhelm the heroes, but Armed Gridman Spark and Gridmatrix arrived just in time to hold off the Fusion Kaijus. Fusion Gridman and the Megas team used this chance to reach the dimensional rift and pulled out someone from it.

It was a sleek mecha that Coop and Jaime recognized from a long time ago: Kiva's mechsuit. There were some differences present on the mech, especially the weapons pack, but there was no mistaking it:

Kiva is back. She has finally returned.

The mecha, dubbed as Mega Soldier, flew towards the Fusion Kaijus and bombarded them with its weapons and abilities. It was Kiva's specialty, something that Coop and Jaime could never forget. Their resolve to make up for the times they wasted away was finally paid off.

However, they still have Fusion Kaijus to deal with. The remaining ones fused into a gigantic Fusion Kaiju. Its immense strength gave the heroes a hard time. Even Megas was barely able to dent its skin. It would be proven too much for them to handle. That is, if they are separated.

Another resonance occured with Fusion Gridman and Megas, this time Mega Soldier also linked together with them. Fusion Gridman understood that the time has finally for them to combine their powers together. And so, the three giants combined into Megas Fusion Gridman.

During the fight, everyone in the cockpit was surprised to witness Megas Fusion Gridman's nimble and unorthodox techniques, something that not even Megas alone could achieve. Coop knew that Megas is an agile hunk of a junk that he had loved for years, but to think that his combination with Fusion Gridman would release such potential is something that Coop found hard to describe with words alone.

He was finally together with his comrades, both old and new. Jaime was with him for the longest time, Mordecai and Rigby were his fans as they came to appreciate Megas' beauty, Fusion Gridman was able to bring him back into his senses, Kiva finally returned thanks to him, and of course, Megas was there to witness it all happening. It was the feeling of camaraderie that pushed him forward, something that the old Coop would not be willing to admit himself. He had done slacking off for too long. If chicks dig giant robot, then who is he to let them down?

And so, Coop synched his commands together with Fusion Gridman and everyone present, sitting in his trusty Plymouth Barracuda cockpit for one more time. A devastating combination of Megas' weaponry and Fusion Gridman's combat prowess made Megas Fusion Gridman a force to be reckoned with.

Fusion Gridman knew how the Fusion Kaiju would make its move and he anticipated them all with ease. He targeted its legs to disable its mobility before going for its limbs. The Fusion Kaiju spread its wings in a last ditch effort, but Megas Fusion Gridman remained tall and used its boosters to even the odds. And finally, Megas Fusion Gridman finished off the Kaiju with Mega Fusion Full Burst, firing all of its armaments down to the last clip.

The Fusions in the area were reduced to a green puddle due to the Terrafuser on the Fusion Kaiju being destroyed. Mega Soldier reverted to Kiva Andru, implying that she was her own mecha this whole time. She explained that the presence of Planet Fusion had caused a rapture in her own timeline, causing her to blip out of existence.

However, she held onto her remaining willpower as she was stuck in temporal limbo, working her way to reach out to her friends. She alao deducted that Megas was her anchor that kept her from completely vanishing away. As she was about to lose her will, Megas' resonance with Fusion Gridman caused a temporal rift that she used to break herself free. Their presence was the final push for her to return to the present day.

Kiva Andru is now a Hyper Agent. Like Megas XLR, she is also a Singularity Point where she was unaffected by the changes of time.

Coop apologized that he had been screwing around and promised to make things up. Seeing how Mordecai and Rigby saved Megas, he entrusted the mecha in their hands as he and Jaime assisted Dexter in managing the weapons for the EDF recruits, making a promise that when the time comes, he will ride with Megas once again.
