Description
Based around an ongoing Redwall-based RP with my good friendI don't really know whether to call this fan-art (being Redwall) or original (being my own character)
While staying at Redwall during a time of trouble and facing the threat of Cluny the Scourge and his roving hordes, Danbuster finally gets a chance to do his bit to protect the Abbey.
Assisting with a stealthy raiding mission, our crazy hare is finally persuaded to lose his usual garish clobber and put on a more understated costume that would allow him to blend in with the scenery.
Though keeping his scarf and sporran, Danbuster has borrowed a decently-long tunic and hooded cloak from Basil Stag Hare's old civilian wardrobe, and after some extensive training is proving himself a pretty decent shot with the longbow.

Danbuster is my own character.
Redwall and its characters were the creation of the late great Brian Jacques.

No doubt that the vermin hordes will die trying to run away now that Dan's got one of the best medieval weapons ever made! I bet he could hit a carrot at 200 yds away with a nice placed shot here!
The outfit looks very nicely composed as well, I think he fits in very nice in that world with those clothes, as apposed to his sporran and kilt.

Of course, I don't know if I'd be shooting at vermin when they're running away... unless Jane says it's okay, I'm not in the habit of shooting enemies in the back...

Is the lack of footwear to soften footsteps to aid in stealth?

Well, like in many cases, most anthro-characters in Redwall don't even wear shoes to begin with (apart from the Redwall Abbey mice wearing sandals along with their habits)
No footwear probably aids in stealth, though.
Kind of like hats, scarves... trousers... most clothing in fact, shoes are more of a fashion accessory for funny-animals!

Albert Einspine's GSD assistant, Heinrich SchΓ€ferhund, also wears full clothing including shoes that he clicks together when he comes to attention!

Heh, yup - though not to enforce any stereotypes... after all, my two German scientists are shown as positive characters - as well as their being respectively Jewish and Lutheran!

Danbuster: A fine old Welsh hymn there! Though what has it got to do with Redwall or my role in it as a visiting hero?
(Though I love how we got to see Mattimeo and Tess as an adult couple in "Martin the Warrior" at 1:52)

That song reminds me a lot of the defense of Redwall, the siege aspect of the song as well as the actual Siege of Harlech I thought matched pretty well.
That Pose Danbuster, I can just see this tune to that, as you're standing on the ramparts picking off rats one by one.
