Description
A character base for my rat character, Winstanuki Typhoo-ye, shown from the front and side. I can later use altered elements of these pictures to create pictures and animations of him, if I plan to cameo him anywhere...

In it's .fla format this character base is a working model. The arms, hands, legs, feet, torso and head are grouped seperately for ease of animating.
Winstanuki started as something purely random from MSN.
, one of my online friends, has his own tanuki characters (Tanukitsune-Drew, Soryu and Kunio) who all hail from Japan, befitting to their folklore traditions. Just before I came offline one night, he asked me to just do a quick doodle of how a pure British tanuki might like... and that was this pic: [link]

...in which he surname was confirmed as Typhoo-ye (often simplied to Typhooey), after the British brand of China tea and the Chinese/Japanese surname meaning "leaf" (since tanukis typically use leaves to utilise their famous shapeshifting skills). So basically, his surname means "China tea-leaves" - and I now realise that this is also a reflection on the family tea business, founded by his emigrated Japanese grandfather and now co-owned by Winstanuki and his aging father.
Being in imported tea, this rather means that Winstanuki is not short of leaves if ever he feels like using his natural shapeshifting powers - which he actually doesn't do very often, but the ability is there if he wants it.

Good grief, old sport! For a minor character whom I only created for fun, he's developed a jolly complex background already, wot?
Mind you, I could say the same of Hydrex and Pearl...
