A character reference for my rat character, Spencer Ian Ratell.

Spencer actually came about in 2002 when I idly doodled a rat in a neckerchief during a free period in college. I liked the character so much that I gave him a name and background. Anyway, trouble always comes in threes and Danbuster and Frederick needed a third for their trio later to be called the Dan Clan.

Spencer used to live rough on the streets of East End Lunndown (anthro equivalent of London) until Dan and Fred took him under their wing. Despite his shabby appearance, though, he is also the most cunning of the trio and another sensible fellow to help Frederick keep Danbuster in check.
Highly nervous, easily scared and not especially strong physically, Spencer may come across as a coward to those who don't know him. However, the scruffy rat's loyalty to his friends is stronger, enabling him to achieve brave deeds that even surprise himself.
Of the trio, Spencer is also the rogue who tends to be a little inappropriate in his behaviour... though his girlfriend Jenny, and the moral Frederick, make him control his hormones.
