Ryuu and Lexy's eyes stared at each other for a few moments; Lexy raised his paw slowly keeping his eyes still at the Cyndaquil, who felt as if Lexy was looking through him…“This is my question….”
Ryuu was excited, but wanted to keep his cool; he’d surely need to give the question his full attention and a piece of his mind…
“...how many non-legendary Pokémon… don’t evolve?”
Ryuu was astonished, that was a really advanced question for his limited knowledge he might have got over the years…
Link was shocked as he thought he would be of help …
“…the time limit…” Lexy took out a large candle and lit it quickly; the fire on the tip roared as the candle started to melt quickly “is until the candle is no more… I’d say hardly a minute…”
Ryuu never thought of a time limit… he took a deep breathe understanding the limit was a distraction designed to stress him; sadly… it was working
Yet Link sat down beside Ryuu and closed his eyes.
Ryuu looked at Link and smiled… “Link is making an effort to not be a burden… let’s not waste more time…” he thought and closed his eyes as well...

Only problems I saw were a few missing punctuation marks and where Lexy asked 'how many non legendary pokemon doesn't evolve' it should be 'don't evolve' instead.
And I say he should get it wrong. It can be a trick question, since Lexy didn't specify if he meant pokemon that aren't part of an evolutionary line, or if he meant the pokemon can't evolve into anything else. If you think about it, fully evolved pokemon don't evolve(since they can't go further) so those might be included. And whatever the number is, the point is mute since Nintendo releases now pokes and evolutions all the time, so theoretically there could be an indeterminent number of pokemon and an indeterminent number of them that can no longer go through evolution, if at all.
Sorry for that long explaination, but it would justify Lexy's question being a trick question that they have no hope of answering correctly, which is why I say they should get it wrong.

OwO even squinty eyes are open sometimes... like 1/3 rd of an inch open... so closing them is barely noticeable ^w^U
