After draining as much of the hosts nutrients as it can bear, Swimbiote evolves, turning into the mighty Hostooge. This Pokémon develops traits from the Pokémon it had been feeding off of, and evolves accordingly. The unfortunate part is that Goldeen, once the host to the terrible parasite, has now become a mindless bottom feeder itself.

I actually love the concept of this Pokémon and its forms. It's clever that the Pokémon evolves itself based on the hosts potential. Those poor hosts though!
Name-wise it's a bit technical. It doesn't need to reference the real-life inspiration. How about Swimbiote (swim + symbiote)? Then for the pre-evo Hostooge (host + hostile + hostage + stooge)?

That's great, glad to help! Naming is weirdly one of my favourite parts of Pokémon. I think when I suggested this I had just seen Venom at the cinema lol.
Just a note, up to you, but I had meant the names to be the other way around e.g. the dead-eyed Goldeen = Hostooge, the host/stooge/hostage of the parasite growing inside it and the evolved form is Swimbiote, the terrifying product of the possession/symbiosis.
