WOOOOOOOAAAAAAAHH!! Mkay, I can explain...So it was days from the beginning of the new semester when it donned on me that I hadn't written a INTRO comic to possibly the LAST semester of Dead Days printed in the paper "The Colliegian" (don't worry everyone, it's continuing ONLINE until GOD knows when...), and if it's to be a good semester of comics, THERE NEEDS TO BE A DEAD DAYS INTRO COMIC! I mean, it's tradition. But it had to be grand. It needed a gimmick. I had nothin... till I found out that The Collegian was running FULL COLOR on the first issue! THEY NEVER RUN FULL COLOR!
THUUUUUS.... the very first COLOR DEAD DAYS was born. But just like they say in the comic, don't get used to the color. This is a ONE TIME THING. I just thought it'd be fun to break the 4th wall since I hadn't done that in a while (Dead Days have been so serious lately... haha), and play with conventions that people normally wouldn't play with.
Anyhoo, VOILA! The first color a Dead Days comic has seriously ever seen. Hope you enjoy it! I have 2 or 3 other series written, I just need time to do them! I'm planning on starting the new series pretty soon! I'll work on them every spare chance I get, which isn't much as I'm doing daily editorial cartoons for the MAN. But they'll come, and they're GOLD. You can be sure of that. THANKS FOR READING!!!

That's a gooood question. And the answer is... maybe. I guess it depends on what everyone else wants. But even if I decide to keep it B/W (easier on me you know), I'll be more likely to make a color one from time to time. Good enough? Thanks for commenting!

I love it! You're gonna need to go to color someday you realize. At least if you intend to get printed in regular newspapers. I mean, in a paper fulla sunday comics in full color glory, who's gonna wanna look at the grey one? I mean, after reading Opus, it would be kind of a letdown.

If only I could do my comics with the same sutlty of jokes that Dead Days has. And a one off color version. Nice. I put color in mine to make thing stand out that don't in black and white. Pure gold again. This is yet another

Hey Cumulo!
The 4th wall is a term given to the " fictional" wall separating us from the comic strip character's world. If you keep it intact, it's like you're looking into their lives and they're going about what they do not knowing your looking. "Breaking" it is when the characters realize they're in a comic and either start talking to YOU, the viewer, or do actions that show they know you're watching. Like in a movie or TV show, when they look at the screen and do something to the audience. So it's basically breaking down that fictional world they're in.
Does that make sense? I've actually never heard the world until about a year ago, and was confused to. Hope this helped! Thanks for the comment!!
