Description This is a picture of Robot Knight from my sketchbook, done sometime in the spring of 2006. Done with a good old black bic ball point pen!

Looks pretty good. You know there's an idea I had recently for a science-fantasy story that involves a robot knight.

I like ball point too, though I have an odd preference for blue, which makes drawings look half-assed ....???

Love the detail, I could never do something like that in pen.

Thanks! One of the things I like about pen is it scans more easily for me than pencil...

Hells yeah, ball points rock! like 90% of my sketching is done with ball points - I just like the way it flows on the paper, much smoother than pencil. I just don't have much luck with them on finished drawings. Sometimes(like this one) with technical pens and sharpies right onto a piece of tracing paper, which usually gets me a nice, clean B&W drawing for scanning

I'v never used tech pens or sharpies before >_<
I find that if your careful enough you can get some lovely lines with a ball point ^_^ & your right they are nicer than pencils when your sketching ^0^
