He is a beauty! Amazing detail and construction, dear sir! (and you DO speak pretty good English for being Russian! You speak better than many English speakers I've met/talk with! )

Thank you very much! I am glad to know what all my English studies have not been in vain.

Good! You probably worked very hard! I'm supposed to KNOW Spanish because of how commonly it is spoken here and even with three years, I'm still pretty bad at it. I just recently bought a Russian Grammar guide because I'm extremely interested in learning Russian, so just to let you know, there are some of us out there that want to try learning it! I feel like I'm the only one around here (unless it's actually a person with Russian heritage) :/

I always wonder if these images are rendered or just screenshots ...

This particular image is composed of several Zbrush rendering passes (main shader, specularity, SSS component) in Photoshop, coloring and some details was painted over in PS.

ooh, I don't like how faceted details look, like in the cheek and head scales... wouldn't it better with more subdivision for the render?

DeckardX08 In reply to nisaza [2011-09-06 07:42:39 +0000 UTC]

I can add more subdivs for the final render, thanks.

Thanks, how do you think: am I on right track with coloring and rendering? Is there a point in doing the full body picture in this style?

nice work on scales.
I've got problem on rendering eyes with Zbrush, but in Your work all looks fine - material, outer reflect, inner shape. How did you achive this ?

DeckardX08 In reply to b2przemo [2011-09-04 10:05:16 +0000 UTC]

By painting it in Photoshop Of course, you can achieve similar effects with Zbrush materials. Use ToyPlastic for outer highlight and blend it with JellyBean for secondary highlight. Thank you.
