A "towel wrapped on the head", eh... I am often experimenting with new surface detailing techniques, and the results aren't always predictable.

I don't think it's the details but the horn design instead

Okay, the design is dumb too... all completely random, no sketches or any pre-planning was made.

Ahh, the detail! I'm drooling!
Damn, you are so amazing at Zbrush. You're my main Zbrush inspiration now, haha XD

I'm sure you won't! I tried to make a dragon once, but the wings really stumped me. I tried to do that thing where you use a Zsphere to pull out the membrane part, but it wasn't working? I'm not sure what was up with that O.o

You talking about the Magnet Zspheres? Naw, this feature sucks. It only stretches polygons of a main Zsphere chain, does not actually add new geometry. I explained the tecnology used for membrane in a reply on ~EtherealProject 's comment. Sketch from sphere, retopology and so on. You can also paint the membrane profile on subdivided Plane primitive with mask, then use Subtool-Extract.

Great anatomy! The detail and overall design are excellent. How did you get the actual thin parts of the wings. I've had some problems in ZB trying to work with thin meshes.
Great work!

Thank you! I'm striving hard for beliveable anatomy, but the result is still far from perfect. For wing membranes I first maked a sketch from simple sphere, retopologized it, created Adaptive skin with thickness, and later edited with Backface auto-masking enabled.

looks good but those horns (or whatever it has on its head) look like a towel wrapped on its head imo

Maybe, later I started to realise that those horns look kinda funny. I rushed into modeling without any sketches, that's why design fails.
