Ok, this took forever lol. I originally sketched the rough layout for this picture several months ago and finally got around to scanning it in to finish drawing, ink, and color on the computer. The actual (digital) canvas size was over 7 feet wide and 5 feet tall. (90 inches x 67 inches) O_O If you look closely, I actually bothered to draw the whole city/castle - not sure if that was worth it lol.For some reason the quality of it changes, though, when I export the fail from the regular sai. image. Not sure why that is, if I can upload a better quality file I will. It may have something to do with the ridiculous size.
That's why the blending on parts of the city, sky, rocks, grass, etc. . . doesn't look the best. I was trying a different coloring style/blend of styles, sorry if it doesn't look the best - I'm trying to improve lol.The original inspiration was to try drawing a humanoid character in a somewhat non traditional fantasy setting.

I know! My dad was supposed to get me a new one, but is being very slow about it. He's planning on doing so this weekend. And yeah, me too. I should definitely end up with a camera, it's more a matter of will it be any good. XD

Yes, my Dad got me one. Tis a reddy-orange Nikon. It comes with a neck strap, which I am super happy about (a lot easier to climb the mast with than a wrist strap). There's a really long cord (like 7 feet or so) that connects the battery charger to the wall. My old charger used to just plug right into the wall. So they even each other out. No idea how the camera handles yet, so am charging the battery and hoping for the best!

This is really cool! I love fantasy pics and this one fits the bill perfectly! The only tiny suggestion I have is to create some atmospheric perspective between the character in the front and the city in the background. It took me a little while to see that it was in the background and not a really small city next to him. I do really like this though!
