My wife and I have been playing through Chrono Trigger together and I got this idea while playing. I've been itching to do some more art based on the game since it definitely is one of my favorites!!I'm (slowly) starting to get this whole "coloring digitally" process more how I like it, but I've still got a lot of work to do

Because it's sch a classic.....it is also very hard. So by the time I get to Masa and Mune and THEN Masamune, I'm kinda bored and then I rage quit because they repeatedly kick my butt

You should totally keep on playing there's so much much much much much much much much much much much much much much much more in the game! Nikki and I are actually playing through it together.
Just spend a little bit of time leveling up and you'll be good. As long as you select "wait" for battles at the beginning and level up a little (and use an emulator so you can save whenever

Good tip! So should how many times whould I wait at the beginning of each battle? And what do you think would be a good level to get to?

I don't mean physically wait, It's a setting you can only choose once at the beginning of the game. You choose between active battles and wait battles where the enemy won't attack you while you're looking at items and scrolling through techs etc. . .
Whenever you find some regular guys to fight who either give you a lot of experience or deal a fair amount of damage to you, keep going in and out of that area for awhile and level up 3-10 times. Then the game will be a breeze for a really long time. I also recommend the SNES emulator since it has save points.

Seriously, though, you're like maybe less than a third of the way through all the content in the game (I think) when you get to masa and mune

Yeah I was actually debating who to have for this picture and I realized that they are the three main characters (at least in terms of who appears first) in the game, so I decided on them.

Ahahaha, it's been WAY too long since I played it. But now that you mention it, I do recall the tree "sparkling" a bit. I guess I was just too caught up in the moment to go "LOL CHRISTMAS TREE" at the time XD
