This was one of the last shots of a beautiful evening just outside Grundarfjordur when the weather finally began to clear. The previous 2 days had been washed out with solid rain. I used manual blending of 4 exposures and a photomatix produced image in this one. In coming weeks, I hope to present a video on Iceland flicking through every picture I took there in 2010 case people were curious!

no problems, the shot is a pure masterpiece in composition and weather conditions/light. for my taste such procession/saturation works better in abstract/intimate landscapes which this photo isn't of that kind. but here on DA it looks like all those top landscape photographers fashion oversaturation massively. for me it's just a trend that shouldn't be followed blindly.

true, and neither should over vignetting (ala peter eastway), excessive sharpening, black and white for black and white's sake, HDR for HDR's sake (look everyone, I took 10 exposure to get this shot), SOOC as a bragging right (look everyone, I did nothing to this picture) etc. there's a place for everything but my current mood is to keep things happy and vibrant

What do you do with them in PS?
Im having huge problems with PS RAW. The pictures are extremely dark when I open them there. Not like in the camera or the picture app I view them in and I cant figure it out. I can boost light in RAW of course but it ruins the colors. So annoying.

Dear god, this image is BEAUTIFUL..in shortest version, the colors textures (especially in the water), the sunset...there is nothign about this image I don't like..
