Description Okay guys, another parody

One thing that annoyed me the most in ME3 was the thing with the Shadow Broker.
In ME1 and ME2 he was mighty, even Cerberus didn't want to mess up with him.
Then Liara become the SB and we all thought "Yeah! A mighty companion!"

But what happend? Bioware gave us a Broker who is everytime one step behind our enemies.
Maybe you can say, after losing the ship on Hagalaz, that she have not "all" her information feeds... but please!

I think it is not fair for Liara. I liked her so much, and Bioware was not nice to her
Not only that Cerberus know everything before she do, on the terminal of Liara you can find "funny" messages she found... what should I think as the gamer?
That Liara only search for news of our friends. Okay, you find out that Liara ship some platinum to an impotant place... but you don't get any war assets for this XD
EDI and Samantha found out much more... why?

I think Liara didn't deserve to be... a "Shadow Broker-Side Kick".
But we all knew, that ME3 made some weird things in the story
This is only another one

Have fun

Mass Effect 3 would be boring as fuck if Liara knew everything.

Deemonef In reply to TbMMaize [2013-10-26 11:04:27 +0000 UTC]

Very true
That's why I found it was the wrong fan service to turn her into the Broker.
I thought. "Now it's kinda unfair for the good guys"
And than I thought. "Well. Not bad. I think they turn Liara in ME3 into a villain, a girl who like to be the real broker (as she said in the DLC, she feels the tension to do it). Than you have to fight her. And in the end, you can make her "friendly" again with enough paragon or renegade points, or if you have not enought you have to kill her!"
This was my idea for a realistic plot.

But Bioware... dunno if it was just lazy or something else. But instead of making a great plot they only turn Liara into a not really informed Broker

TbMMaize In reply to Deemonef [2013-10-26 11:57:30 +0000 UTC]

To make her into a villain is even worse in my opinion. She just doesn't fit the role of a villain at all. That'd be a kick in the balls for everyone who romanced her.Β

Yeah I know that, but the chnage between ME1 and the redemption Comic was to extreme
But the thing with Liara in ME3 wa not the only fault Bioware did XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TbMMaize In reply to Deemonef [2013-10-26 12:32:29 +0000 UTC]

I don't think it was too extreme. It certainly was extreme but not really too much in regards to what changed in her life. She lost her mother to Saren and her first real love got killed by the collectors and was captured by the Shadow Broker. That's quite traumatizing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Deemonef In reply to TbMMaize [2013-10-26 12:35:06 +0000 UTC]

Traumazing yeah. But she killed three good soldiers with a whip of her hand mostyl. One moth before she was shaking on the ground while a krogan ran after her. I think Biwoare had give her more time to become this renegade.

Yeah, I know that, but she did not fight. A moth ago she fight alon, with no weapon against te blue suns, hit some new freinds, and destroy a whole room with hightec.
I know "why" she chnaged, but it was too fast.

I think the rain. But I think that Lara was in ME1 too shy for it, the whle game. And I loved that fact.
I repeat my sel. She changed, and this was okay. And the change fro ME1 to ME2 was really okay.
But the change from ME1 to Redemption was way to extreme.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

TbMMaize In reply to Deemonef [2013-10-26 12:58:07 +0000 UTC]

Guess that's different for everyone. For me personally it wasn't too extreme but i can see why you think it is.

Though... The first panel... I donΒ΄t remember that happening, did you make it up or?

No It happend in the homeworld Comic
Liara ound on Thesia a hnt to a beacon on Kahje. And when she found it (guess what) Cerberus was already there and took waht they need. Only a Phantom was left Liara killed her.
Thank you
Glad you think now the same way
It was mean for Liara

Asari are... a weir species

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ScrewfaceRomeo In reply to Deemonef [2013-10-25 20:32:55 +0000 UTC]

They're kinda scumbags. Manipulative, elitist, condescending, exploitive and it's heavily implied they regularly use their lifespans to rip off short-lived species through their wills.

I have a theory that they're genetically modified Humans, created by the Protheans to be soldiers of their empire.

And Tali was a better Shadow Broker than Liara, and she wasn't even the Shadow Broker! I can't remember Li ever giving you anything as big or useful as Tali's Saren Intel.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Deemonef In reply to ScrewfaceRomeo [2013-10-25 20:48:20 +0000 UTC]

Even Samantha Traynor was better. I mean, Shep ask, who know where Cerberus could hide... and Liara said nothing....

Yeah. My point, why I don't like asari:
The had a beacon on her homeworld, all important facts in it.
Protenas made her so great.
Protenas died 50.000 ago... but the asari came 580BC to the Citadel.
What they did over 48.394 years???
I mean, the salarians came 60 years fater the asari to the citadel... and they were "frogs" 50.000 years ago...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ScrewfaceRomeo In reply to Deemonef [2013-10-25 20:59:54 +0000 UTC]

They're parasites, who make themselves out to be so great and wise, but really they just exploit all the other races and count on their political power, age and powers of seduction to stay on top.

The Salarians aren't saints either, and the Turians are space-fascists, but at least they don't pretend to be something they're not. And Garrus, Mordin and Tali were much better than any of the asari characters in terms of character development.

I think the Quarians, Geth and Krogan should overthrow the Council and run the next cycle. I'm sure Eve, Tali and the ghost of Legion could come up with a better system of government than a crypto-fascist oligarchy with a Space-Gestapo (SpecTREs) that condones the use of Genocide and divides privilege and power by race...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Deemonef In reply to ScrewfaceRomeo [2013-10-25 21:07:12 +0000 UTC]

Very true
Mordin, Wrex, Garrus and Tali are great, they broke throw the bnds of their species. I loved that
They were great leaders.
Your idea with a new council is great
