Description
I got some suggestions after my last comics.had a wonderful idea and wanted to see a close up of a very sexy butt
So here is a Comic about the... let's call it: The fantasy-armor-problem.
Many fantasy gals have a very sexy armor... put zero protection
I know this is made for the big-eyes-effect but this seems so weird and senseless
Most mess: In ME1 you were able to give your crew armor and aboard they wear her casual look. This was much better and more realistic.
A shame that this is not an option in ME2
So, here you have sex, beautyness... and no fear of heat, damage, bullets and pain
Shepard by PrincessFelia
Samara by Goha
Jack by o0Crofty0o
Miranda Lawson by o0Crofty0o
Helmet by Goha
Tech armor by Goha
Cabin by Annashepard
SSV Normandy SR1 by the-joeblack
Program by XNALara
Mass Effect and its assets belong to Electronic Arts and BioWare

EXACTLY my thoughts. It also felt off when I tried to design my Shepard to fit realistically to the setting; simple bun, no makeup, chosen for her badassery and not for having a flawless, perfectly non-unique face. Worked quite well in ME1. Theeeen in ME2, Miranda appears, worn into an outfit that I would NEVER bring to the battle field. (Miranda, u no care of ur ankles? Miranda, u use a megatonne of hair spray?) Boom goes my immersion.
The same trio can also parade also in a quarantined quarian ship with no fear about dandruff and hair and germs getting everywhere...

You are so right, and thank you for the kind and right words
You know what annyos me too?
The male shep is a muscle man.... and a fem-shep (a female soldier) seems to have not a single muscle in her body
How the hell can she fight and hold up guns

Troo enough. Though FemShep's frame was never a huge issue for me (minus the weird gradual bust size increase over the games...), even if more fit would have been better (at least like "I clearly see that she has biceps even if she isn't flexing them at the moment" fit). What I have been more bothered about was that the default FemShep has makeup. You have mercs and husks and krogans running at you, and you are worried about your makeup?
I think that what further hinders the creators' will to create versatile bodies is having to use a limited number of base models, easily causing that almost alla ladies have model proportions. If they had an easy way to allow large-scale character customization without endangering rigging and animations, it might pressure the creators to give everyone reasonable frames. ("Must save in production costs, that's why we have ready models and we only change the textures-" "SAY WHAT?")
This gives me hope: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKizv8β¦

Thanks for the link
I think you are right... to less models.. but this doesn't make me feel better
Yeah, I saw this make up thing on Shep... she is a warrior, not a model.
Worst example is Ashley.
I loved her in ME1 and 2... but in three... I hated what Bioware did to her.
Long hear, bigger boobs no armor... WTF!?

Game industry is too prone to think that sex sells. Maybe, to a fraction of potential buyers, but by what creative cost?

I agree with you about the armor.Β They should have had more and better protection when ashore.Β Still, what would ME be without fan service?Β I might even enjoy more of it.
But very funny.

Sometimes fan service is a good thing, as you can see in the Citadel DLC.
But sometimes is gongs so much the wrong way, as you can see in the Omgea DLC.
And thank you again, my friend

So true. I can get Grunt and Garrus - they've a whole load of armor on them plus krogans are all-around tough and turians have adapted to radiation. But the ladies? Damn, where is the helmet on/off option when crazy clothing shows its teeth?

This annoyed me at first too, but then I thought about it, they're all supposed to be super powerful biotics, they use their mind so they can wear sexy suits to appease geeky males behind a controller.

Yeah, I thought that too... till I remember, that most other asari wear heavy armors... so this is again only for sexy main chas
...but I have to admitt... I love sexyness

dmbarnham In reply to Deemonef [2013-10-23 11:23:32 +0000 UTC]
Good point, didn't think of that. I can imagine Samara not having to as she is supposed to be a super powerful biotic, but that doesn't really account for Liara who is just a geeky scientist with biotic power like any other run of the mill blue girl ... hmmmm. --- well I got Thane to dribble over so I am all good.

Deemonef In reply to dmbarnham [2013-10-23 15:57:50 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I think Samara is strong enough to make it... that means (for me) she is maybe a bit stronger than other justicars.
Cuase in the MP of ME3 justicars wear armors
