Description
Well... it's been a long time. A very long time.Lot's of work to do since a few months, and no time for renders and arts.
But to show you that I'm still alive here a lil' thing I made for 9Gag.
I know it's no real art and so... but after some Hypes about Mas Effect Andromeda and some talks with other people, some kind of anger about Mass Effect 3 came up in my mind again. So... here some things.
Hope you all are still here and havin' fun. Wish you all the best.
Greatings, Felix.
Mass Effect and its assets belong to Electronic Arts and BioWare

This is what I meant in point 7. The whole thing with the dark energy, dying stars and so on. All those facts were irgnored and this is really bad
They wanted to set up something: Drew said in an interview, they wanted to make a story, were the real enemy is dark energy. Suns die very fast the galaxy expand to fast, and the reapers are here to find a solution for it. And they found it: The humans. The humans have the genetic material to create a reaper who can stop the dark energy. And the main story should be, that Shepard have to proof now, that the Reapers are the helpers not the destroyers. Or you don#t beleive the reapers and try to stop them. This will make peace for now, but the problem with dark energy is still there.
I think you are right... it was a typical EA rush...

Yeah,I heard something like that once. It's really sad honestly... They should've just delayed the game to make it the way they intended to,but instead they rushed it out the gate and we got the mess called ME3. I mean, the extended cut dlc fixed something, like how the crew got back to the Normandy etc. but other than that, nothing was really fixed. And don't even get me started on the 'god child'. No one even bothered to explain why he looked like that kid who died at the beginning? He's just there! And the needless deaths of Mordin,Thane and Legion,as well as killing other npcs via EMAILS...Why did I bust my ass trying to save them in ME2 only for them to die no matter what in ME3? Mordin and Legion were smart as hell--I'm sure they would've figured out a way to save the krogan and the geth without it costing them their lives...And Thane...You mean to tell me,that a universe with biotics and technology beyond compare doesn't have a lung donor somewhere? And Thane kicked ass better than most, but Kai Leng took him down like it was childs play... And then we have all the squad mates of ME2,12 if you have the dlcs, and only Garrus and Tali join you and others are like 'nah, sorry, too busy, ain't happening,no way I'm gonna join you shep'...I mean c'mon! (sorry about the rant wow)
And EA is known for just rushing their game out just to get profit, and they get it every time--- :/Β

You are so fully right
Those E-Mail kills fucked me so up
Or Emily Wong... died on Twitter.... and we got Allers...
This game is soooo... unfinished, lazy and... I dunno why everybody is so hyped about MEA, after this. I really hope the next game will be good... but I really don#t see that comin'

LuciaHane In reply to Deemonef [2016-02-11 13:28:35 +0000 UTC]
I really liked Emily! It would've made more sense if she was on the Normandy instead of Allers but hey...Nothing we can do about that...
Also I hated how they just killed Kal'Reegar too... >:C
They have been making it for 4 years or so,I think I read somewhere that they started scripting it during or just after ME3...(?)
And I think people are hyped for ME4 for many reasons...One being the graphics, which looked amazing in the trailer. And people who haven't played the trilogy said that they look forward to it too. Also I think people just want to know what happened to Shepard, but I think it will be watered down to "Shepard was a hero" "They gave us the possibility for our future" "We wouldn't be here without their sacrifice" etc etc...
I hope they don't screw this up---
It's been almost a year since it's announcement and we still don't know anything besides; it's in Andromeda, you have a mako."
I just really hope they don't rush this out...Cause apparently someone said that it could be released as early as April this year... :/

You are so right!!! I neraly forgot about Reegar! This was... such a fuck up!!
I loved his character, and this??? For reals? Dammit!!
I think you are right. Yeah the graphics looked cool, and the trailer too. And people who don't know ME will be thrilled.
Dunno how you see it, but I hope and wish, that MEA will have... mainly nothng to do with ME3... no Cameos and so. I don't want this story to be influenced by this crappy ME3 ...and I'm a bit worried what they do about those three endings...
But we will see, as you said, we have to less information... but they want to publish it end of the year... I'm scared

I know right? He was one my faves and the 'oh whoops he died somewhere saving someone' via E M A I L... Β
I feel the same way. But honestly I don't think they will involve anyone from the trilogy as it is set a very long time after the events of ME3. The devs said that there won't be any cameos since they're probably dead... And I don't think the endings will be mentioned at all, since they weren't all that different...And the Reapers aren't in MEA so I don't think they will be mentioned either, since you could've either destroyed them or 'turn them good' so to speak...
I'm kind of excited for MEA but at the same time I'm not...Like I just don't want them to screw this one up...If it's good, then it will probably get sequels,in which case,I hope they don't fuck them up too--- Β

The Mars Archives thing really sounded like this for me:
Liara: I've discovered new data in the Archives that seems to be blueprints for some Prothean superweapon meant to destroy the Reapers.
Me: Were you really the first one to type "Reapers" in the search bar or whatever?
Liara: Most likely.

The Jack thing makes sense.
She softens a bit with Shepard, gets her past resolved and wants to make sure that nobody ends up like her.
She's still Jack, the unrepentant bitch, but now she has something to fight for.
π: 0 β©: 1
Deemonef In reply to AedanTheGrey [2016-02-10 18:15:54 +0000 UTC]
I can hear you. And I was sure, that with this point some discussions will start.
But think about it:
This only makes sense if you did Jack's loyality mission in a paragon way.
If you did the mission in arenegade way, or if you ignored this mission, than Jack is mainly the same as at the start of ME2... so: No softening
And... you have to think about one thing:
You have a child ina school and you get this letter:
"Hello, Sir/Madame. We just wanted to inform you, that we have a new teacher for your child. It's a woman, wo is a fresh jailbreaker, a murderer, a search criminal with a high bounty, a vulgar mouth, mainyl naked with tattoos all over and she is agressive and a bit psychopatic."
Be honest: Would you send your kid at this school ever again?
I know what you mean. "In the end" Jack is a wonderful teacher for the students and it helps her. But I really can't see how she became this teacher.
But don't get me wrong. I am a Jack fan

AedanTheGrey In reply to Deemonef [2016-02-10 19:01:09 +0000 UTC]
How:
She's the most powerful human biotic, and the most in control of her powers.
She helped defeat the collectors and survived the Omega 4 relay.
As far as her behavior, she was given a chance (including more clothes and watching her language) and probably vouched for by a number of officials. Likely Anderson, Sanders, and Hackett did so after Normandy was turned over. Jack had nowhere to go, and had several aliases, let's not forget. "Jack" didn't offered, more likely it was "Jacqueline Naught" which is her name on the Normandy memorial in 3 if she dies. Her true identity may not have been revealed to most people.
But yes, the Paragon/Renegade options should have been shown better.
As for your letter, let's be honest. It'd be more like this:
"Hello Sir/Madame,
We have hired a new instructor for biotic students. Miss Naught is a very talented biotic with a great resume. After the problems in the Gagarin program we have reason to believe her methods, while unorthodox, would be better suited than strict military policy."
π: 0 β©: 1
Deemonef In reply to AedanTheGrey [2016-02-10 19:36:48 +0000 UTC]
Well... I wish I could tell better, but english is not my native language
As I said your points are good. Great. And you have a good thinking.
But the fact is, and there is no way areound it: Jackor Jennifer, or maybe Jacqueline Naught is a high criminal.
It's not like she just stole something, of she made nude pics of her and shared it. She is a murderer. More time murderer.
And she have a bounty in several worlds, and I bet Alliance worlds too.
I really can't see that "this fact" can be ignored. As I said, in front of your kids is a murderer, not a lil' thief.
Yeah, she helped to defeat the Collectors, but think of Shepard, he helped to and was arrestet, cause he worked with Cerberus, this counts in some points for Jack, too.
Maybe she has nowhere to go. But this is not an excuse for the Alliance to hire high criminals for some schools. If they made a "soldier" out of her this would be another thing, but a teacher...
And as I said: Only if you made her mission in a paragon way. if you do renegade, Shepard tells her that killing is the best way to solve problems. or if you ignore her mission she is still... still the same person than at the start of ME2.
And I reall like your letter, and it's okay. But it is highly unethical to keep quiet about that Jack is a murderer and a jailbreaker.
Let's face it. Today some parents stopping her kids from going to school, cause a teacher is homosexual, hit a student once, or made nude photos.
So I can't see a person who is okay with a murderer teaching your kids.

AedanTheGrey In reply to Deemonef [2016-02-10 20:45:02 +0000 UTC]
There's also a difference between people today and in the ME universe.
Yes, there are holes that can't quite be filled in, but at least they gave Jack a chance instead of just writing her off.
As far as the murderer, ex-con, shite: in that situation I'd take that if the staff believed it would turn out better.
Speaking of which, ethics didn't have much to do with Gagarin. Placing young human students under a sadistic, veteran Turian with a grudge doesn't sound much better. And it ended with said Turian learning what it's like to turn your head 180Β°.
For the Cerberus, like Chakwas, Jack worked for Shepard. She also is a fugitive from Cerberus, and the Alliance could have been providing sanctuary.
It all depends on how you look at it.
Yes, they hired a murderer and criminal.
They also hired the most powerful and talented human biotic, who shows no signs of becoming weaker as most do. (Only other confirmed exception is Kaiden, as Jacob said he shouldn't be able to Reave. As in, that isn't normal.)
In the opinion of Zaeed Massani: a weapon should be used when given freely, not complained about how dirty it is.

Deemonef In reply to AedanTheGrey [2016-02-10 21:23:21 +0000 UTC]
Again, you are right and you have amazing intelligent thoughts.
And yes the things in Gagarin went wrong, and they learned from it. You cannot take such a person to do it.
So instead of a humanhating turian you take a murderer... this is not better.
Where is the moral about it? If you put Jack in jail again, where she serves her time for her criminal action, and after that you maker her become a teacher. This is another thing.
But "forgive" her everything she did? Forgive every person she murdered, every thing she stole, she destroyed? This is not fair. There is no moral.
Again, I see what you are thinking. jack is a great biotic and in the end she is a good teacher.
But you cannot atke a high criminal and "forgive" all of her actions and put her infront of a class.
And no one knows how Jack will react. Again, in the end it works. But we saw Jack, she was about to kill Miranda, if Shepard didn't intervene. She killed two poeple only bevause she though they will hurt her. She is instable at this point. And such a person will be a teacher?
Even the zaeed quote is good. When you see all the points: nearing reapers, collectors fight, Cerberus action. This all would be stay for Jack. But we live in a world with rules and moral.
You can't take a criminal only because he is good in what he is doing, to let him teach.
π: 0 β©: 1
AedanTheGrey In reply to Deemonef [2016-02-10 22:17:53 +0000 UTC]
True again. Though I never said forgive all actions. Some were well merited or deserved by victims, others not in the least.
In the situation present, with the Reapers and what not, hard choices would be made. If she could prove a level of stability and ability to teach, she could serve the Alliance as her penance. Sometimes you gotta do things you aren't proud of, one of the messages imparted in Mass Effect 3.
There are good points for both sides.
This was fun, I must admit. A nice, intelligent discussion.

You forgot about the whole change Ashley went through from ME1 to ME2...
Mass Effect 1, she trusted you completely and was loyal, despite hating aliens around.
Mass Effect 2, she sees you for the first time in like 2 years, and oh yeah, she hates you and doesn't trust you at all, thinks you're a traitor to everything. so much for me1 emotions...
And the "main story mud" thing they did...let's be honest...they fucked themselves up and wrote themselves into a corner in like one day! >.< They took awesome ME1, had new writer for ME2, made it pretty awesome too, took a NEW writer for ME3 who seemed to have 0 clue about ANYTHING Mass Effect related! and just wrote a story of his own and they went with it >:Β
In my opinion though, the Jack story worked as she softened up in ME2, still though...it was a bit awkward and weird some of the conversations you had with her there >.<Β
On point though on these things though gave me a few laughs for sure^^
And I've honestly lost my hope in Bioware...they ruined ME3...They ruined ending of Dragon Age Inquisition, plus...They've yet to properly deliver on my god damn dao romance!Β Β

Ash... maybe. But let's not forget. What do Ashley know of Cerberus? Everything the player knows in ME1 (for example. murdering people, create Creeper) and Ash see Shep working with them. This makes her so angry...
As you said. This thing for Jack... could work ooooooonly and mayyyybe if you soften her... but... I really can't see this happening
You are right... hope is really lost.
