Can't help but think it's a matter of style for these ladies:
Miranda needs to put out the message "I'm the perfect woman, look at me and my genetically engineered butt!".
Jack is all so "Hate you all... I need no frigging armor! Anarchy rulez!".
And Samara... well, she's a several centuries old Justicar, I assume she learned how to stay alive without an armor...
