no marker madness today unfortunately as i was busy finishing up thumbnails/roughs/layouts for the latest issue of spec spidey uk. i thought u might be interested in having a rare look at the preproduction work that goes into comics and the journey before a spec spidey issue ends up on the shelves. these were actually done full size as roughs. then shrunk down as thumbnails for easier viewing. not as clear unfortunately but it's not meant to be. heh.Related content

Wow! A lot of movement throughout! Very dynamic! If you manage to scan em, I'd really love to see what a pre-ink finished pencilled page looks like, as I'm working on some similar stuff! Thanx for sharing!

it's good and it's bad as i don't know when to draw the line! consequently i don't get a lot of time to do anything else. maybe a worthy sacrifice, i dunno.

Does it come naturally or is it something you had to learn? I often end up in pain after drawing for 3 hours or so and stop for the day. Or, I pop in a dvd box set of Chris Rock stand up and eventually realise the day is over and I can't draw. Most other times, I envy the guys and gals who can switch off and just draw dozens and dozens of sketches or etcetera.

i guess it comes naturally. i like drawing too much to stop. also, i find myself when i do stop, it's hard to start again, so i tend not to take too long of a break in between drawings.dunno, guess i'm just wired that way.
