What, a piece I just submitted without a GLaDOS humanization in it? What is the world coming to?Okay, so here's my concept of the Cave Johnson Combustible Lemon from Portal 2. Since I'd drawn myself with one in a previous deviation, I thought it'd be fun to have myself giving a run-down on how they work. Not the how of "How in the hell did they get that much C4 into a lemon?" because I'm not one of Cave's lab people, and I haven't got the foggiest idea of how.
I'm talking about how to make one of those things burn somebody's house down.
Anyways, have fun with the idea, maybe it'll inspire some people to tweak their own lemon designs.
And for the love of God, don't burn anybody's house down with the things unless you really, really, really mean it. Okay?
Oh, and the lemons are actually copyright to Valve. Well, they own Portal and Portal 2 and GLaDOS (though I bet if she were real, she'd be annoyed at the idea of being owned)...

Heh. Combustible as in flammable, explosive as in blows up.
Yeah - generally it's a little harder to work out flaming lemons as a weapon of mass destruction. I get why you'd have an issue, because technically you'd be right. (We'd be looking at them acting more like the flaming arrows in films set in the Middle Ages, right?)
But I always got the general impression that the lemons would be more fun as explosive.
Also, way to sound more intelligent without really commenting on the artwork. Good job. Pat yourself on the back.

Sometimes, I really wonder if it is impossible for Combustible Lemon to explode after all they have water or the explosion will not be affected by the presence of water? Can you explain how the combustible lemon works? Is Combustible Lemon only mentioned in Portal 2 but not shown and that means it's your interpretation of the lemon is it?

That's my intepretation, yes.
There are some chemicals that don't aherm, respond well, to the acid in lemons. They end up being at least highly flammable if not outright combustible.
There's also just plain wiring a high explosive into the thing too.

Don't forget the acid! If it's not filled to the cheekbones with acid, what's the point of it being a lemon! (Other than the delicious delicious irony, of course.)

Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade - make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager. Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons. Do you know who I am? I'm the man who's gonna burn your house down! With the lemons. I'm going to to get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Great work! Although it might not be C4, they don't just bang rocks together at Aperture, He said he would get his engineers to invent a combustible lemon, so they probably took a lemon and messed with it's chemical acid a bit... A friend of mine and I joked a little that the acid would explode/burn if fused with Antimony, so maybe that's what they used, haha.

Heh. I always figured they probably just shoved some C4 into the things, but my thinking now is they might've figured out how to grow them as having some kind of highly combustible acid, where all you had to do was stick a detonator into the things, and off you go....
