Description "SPOILER warning! You may not want to read this if you don't wish to know some details of the Dragon Age: Origins plot. You have been warned!"

"It... it cannot end like this."
The clashing of the swords and ferocious growling of Bolt seemed to be distant and faint although Leonora knew that the desperate battle raged right around her. She tried to move and clear her mind but failed. All seemed to be so distorted and blur.
But she could remember. She and Alistair had reached the top floor of the tover of Ishal. They had managed to kill the ogre which had guarded the room and lit the beacon as planned. And then...
Then the darkspawn had rushed to the room without warning. Arrows had whistled through the air and she had felt sudden pain. Next thing she knew was her laying in the ground, unable to move, coughing blood and staring something which seemd to be the tail of an arrow. It took few seconds before she realized that the shaft of the arrow went straight to her chest. She tried to reach it with her hand and muttered with disbelief and despair:
"It... it cannot end like this."

More fanart from the Bioware's Dragon Age: Origins game. My heroine Leonora and the group faces a desperate situation atop the Tower of Ishal.

And yes, Leonora looks a lot like Leliana but that is a pure coincidence.

Another later add: Arrrgh, although she looks more of herself in this one I am again unsatisfied about the result. Perhaps the next one....

Heh heh, there are so few hairstyles that somebody's going to look like someone else at some point in time. But nice job, particularly on that arrow.

More than true That's why I nowadays use hair mods to give my hero(ine)s some unique look.
Arrow was the most diffidult part in this one. To get the foreshortening right was tricky but in the end it looks quite good to my eyes. Thanks for commenting

Leonora is one gritty female warrior. (She is a Cousland after all ) But as we know she did pass out soon after.

My character looks a lot like that too! Haha XD I was kind of mad when I met Leliana later on. Love your pic, anyway -- the details are beautiful

Yep, I was also a little annoyed when I met Leliana. (Do I have a secret twin or something...) Atleast her hair was red whereas Leonora is a blond.

Glad that you like the details. The armor is not 100% accurate to the game as I made few modifications of my own but it is still the one Leonora was wearing when I first time entered the Tower of Ishal.

Like in my first DA picture, Leonora doesn't look 100% herself either here. My later picture of her is more true to her "in game" appearance.

Desperate situation indeed. Well done on the droopy, tired eyelids. It really dots the "i" on the expression (so to say) rahter than the wide eyed state of surprise. This is more reflective somehow. Great perspective on the arrow too.

Good to hear that the desperation can be sensed from the picture as that was the main "topic" of this one. Tired eyelids came from the idea that she does not want to believe what she sees and realizes and also from the fact that she is already passing out. That moment is sure a desperate moment at the game to both the characters at the tower and also to the bigger picture outside but fortunately an unexpected rescue is on it's way.

Ah, the arrow. It gave me quite much work to get the perspective to look good. But the foreshortening did work, atleast to some degree. Thanks for dropping by Louise.
