This looks great! But, traditional media?
The only work I know that looks like this and IS 100% traditional media is by Juan Gimenez who actually paints over the pencils with acrylics. Is that what you (or Alex Horley) did - no digital coloring?

Alex Horley painted this, all traditional media, mostly acrylics. Alex has only just started to experiment with digital but not here.

You did this? I always thought it was Bisley. I really liked this book and I wish there more issues.

The truly awesome Alex Horley painted this. Alex spends most of his day painting Blizzard cards these days. Been trying to get him back into comics, but no luck so far.

Now I'm a little taken a back by how similar this is to Simon Bisley's style...or the other way around..I'm so lost right now.

There's no denying Simon Bisley and Frank Frazetta were huge early influences on Alex's work.
If you go back you'll see that Simon's major influences were Kevin O'Neill, Mick McMahon, Jamie Hewlett, Frank Frazetta and Bill Sienkiewicz. With Alex you'll see more Jack Kirby and John Buscema present, especially when you look at his storytelling.

Heh actually after viewing this work I got a little antsy, because Simon and Frank are two of my main influences. And thinking Simon Bisley's style wasn't unique to him was a little troubling. So I did a little googling on Mr. Horley. And after some extensive research seeing more of his stuff you are very right it's not usually as exaggerated as Simon's stuff is. Some of the way they paint certain details is similar but after a little time it became pretty easy to tell one from the other.

So many artists start off looking at similar artists but then they find different ones they like as much and they all influence their styles.
Simon is pretty much self taught as an artist whereas Alex has a more traditional style coming from studying at an Italian art college.
