How do you get your artworks to look so smooth?! Amazing

umm that depends on the wood. If the grain is fine you can sand it with fine sanding paper and just use bee wax or some other oil to polish it if the grain isn't as fine u have to sand it till u cant get it any smoother and than add a varnish or Shellac or other kind of finish

Unfortunately our teachers don't like it really when we sand our pieces :'D
But I am going to try it anyway on some private artworks!

oo I see well sharp tools and removing thin layers gets good results to but not as smooth as this ^^
