Description
Wild Knuckles AppearedThis is a follow up on something I did nearly 4 months ago.
I did say I was gonna do more scenes...What, you didn't believe me?
Anyway I wanted to try a unique and uncommon perspective of this scene.
Done in Photoshop CS2
EDIT: It would appear the idea for this scene was not as original as I had first thought it to be: [link]
and suddenly I feel like a theif

auaahaaa soo beautiful!!! gotta say, love your stuff. You have certainly captured a unique look at this scene. very dramatic. LOVE the prefect capture of old fashioned sonic in a very contemporary art style. Only complaint is that the angle, while dynamic and intriguing, is hard to interpret at first. i had to stare at it before i recognized the tell-tale weird lil lego pegs on Knuckle's shoe. But really, once i got it i loved it. Great stuff! makes me wanna whip out the sega genisis.

Knuckles, a.k.a Chuckles the yellow socks wearing Echidna always earns props for knocking out Sonic in super form state.

people always say that sonic should of stayed in the 2D world, but i like him either way. Its actually quite amazing when you think about all sega has done! they've even stood through the test of time

IT'S KNUCKLES. I KNOW IT.
Heh, Sonic just looks up: ....?
No offense, but did you mean to draw Sonic's left hand like that? (Not the one picking up the emerald)

Lol back when I was making this, I didn't know how close or how far Sonic would be positioned so I didn't focus on putting much detail on him at that point. Now, that hand is probably the most obvious sign of that.

WOAH, man. That is awesome. I really love the detail on the grass probably most of all. How was that done? Did you literally go through every blade or was it a brush or...?
Man, the details on that shoe is great. I love how it sort of looks a bit dirty too. Like, a real shoe.

It was done with a custom brush that creates multiple lines in one stroke.
Basically I laid down some flat colors then went over it using the brush, blurred it, and then brushed again on top of that.

OMG. That was epic. XD
Anywho, I really love the painting here. It's so nice, and just Knux's boot being the giveaway is nice. I loved Sonic 3 a lot, it's one of my favorite old school games. ^^

This is awesome! The perspective here is wonderful - it's so unusual but it works brilliantly. I love the amount of detail you've put into this, even down to the smallest things like the slight glow the Emeralds are giving off. I really like how you've drawn Sonic's pose and expression too. The colouring looks great as well.
