I wanted to try a dapple grey for something new, and while it was different, I enjoyed it.
This is just an amazing-looking horse (incredible motion!), and such a pleasure to draw. I thank for letting us use their lovely stock. A 9x12, drawn with 2H - 8B pencils. Here's the original: [link]

You truly captured the fluidity of the horse's trot (it almost looks as if he's flying!), and you've done wonderfully well with the shades and tones. However, I think there's a little problem with the mouth... the shading on the horse's jawline makes the mouth look elongated... But when I looked at the reference photo you used, I guess I myself would have found it very difficult to avoid diffusing the shading on the jawline with the mouth. It's nonetheless a wonderful piece, and I faved it straightaway!
