yep. i wanted to do a pic titled 'the eternal scilence', but i came out this instead. hence the gag.i still plan on doing that picture, btw. once i can get some more ink...
anyways....watercolor and ink on cardstock, about 45 minutes. tell me if its too dark.

I mean a little less texture on the subject itself to make it stand out from the background a bit.

actually, i use old toothbrushes. it works nicely, but yeah, it sometimes is a bit hard to control.

I like the way you square-shaped things that ought to be (normally speakin) circular (the cuffs and collar). But then, reprenenting normality through art would be quite boring. And the texture adds a lot to the general ambiance of the drawing...
I gotta try watercolor sometime...

Especially remarkable for its attention to edges and flairs, and this grime you've created with color along with the palette you've selected from strikes me as very sophisticated; this piece all by itself earns you a watch...

So I'm more popular. So what? You have your own style. I can't own up to that. I mean, sure I have my own way of drawing eyes, mouths, etc. but you have your own color schemes, your own physics, your own landscapes. I mostly just pick and choose or avoid that situation completely. I'm still attempting to find what I should do, but you seem to already know what you're doing, and I'm jealous.

i dunno...i dont think its really my style. i looked at the Rise Against album art, some from billy martin, and from whoever did the stuff from the used's in love and death album and said LOOK LIKE THAT. so.....yeah. i use primary colors and black and brown....not all that exciting. i dont consider it original in any way, shape, or form. yours is developed...evolved...and it has expression. mine is just dark, muddy, and wrinkly. i still dont know whay you're talking about.
and i can see in any minute someone posting "yes, we get it, you two love eachother, cut the modesty shit and make out already" under this. oh, hahaha....that would be good.

Mine is hardly original. If you were to live inside my head you'd see how everything I draw is a conglomeration of everything I have at some point decided was 'cool'. Every 'new original picture' I have ever drawn was based on something else in a huge way. My art hinges on people not getting the reference. Or, on the few occasions I try something completly new I find that it's not at all anything I could stand to look at for more than a few seconds at a time. I play around with styles so much because of my strong desire to find something worthy of calling 'mine', but while I might like it on its own I can't even begin to imagine me doing something like it more than a couple times again over the course of my lifetime. You atleast have consitancy.
